UPDATE 9/12/14 @ 12:34 p.m. LINCOLN COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- West Virginia State Police say the driver of a tanker truck, who crashed Friday morning, has passed away from the injuries he received in the crash.

The crash happened about 6 a.m. near the intersection of Roy Branch Road and Route 10 in Branchland.

West Virginia State Police say the driver was Laverne Gillette, 47, of Grayson, Kentucky.

The truck rolled over, spilling a small amount of petroleum asphalt on a driveway near the road.

The paving truck belonged to W.Va. Paving.

One lane is shut down while crews continue to clean up the debris.

No word on what caused the accident, or what time the road will reopen.

The rollover crash happened near the intersection of Roy Branch Road on Route 10. It happened just before 6 a.m.

Only a small amount of the 1600 gallons of the product spilled in the crash.
