TUCSON - Crews from the Southern Arizona Paving and Construction Co. will begin work to improve roadway conditions on Sixth Street from Ferro Avenue to Park Avenue.

The project will begin with crews lowering manhole covers and water valve covers. This work will take place through Friday.

They will be working from 5 a.m. to 7 p.m. During the utility lowering phase of the project at least one lane of travel in each direction will be maintained.

On July 21, crews will begin removing asphalt and repaving on Sixth Street. The milling and repaving is scheduled to be complete by Tuesday, July 29. The asphalt removing and paving will take place from 5 a.m. to 7 p.m. At least one lane of travel in each direction will be maintained during this work.

Residential and business access will be maintained at all times during the project, except for when heavy equipment is directly in front of a driveway.
