The village renewed its contract for its compost site on Parker Road.

The village has had an agreement with Robert and Carol Breuninger Trust since 2008 to dump leaves collected from residents onto a 5-acre section of land fronting Parker Road. According to city documents, village staff say the relationship has been successful.

The village will pay $4,500 a year in two installments (April 1 and Oct. 1) each year for the use of the land for composting the leaves.

B2B trail work OK'd

The Village Council approved a contract with OHM to complete the design and bid documents for the Border to Border Trail from Central Street to the end of the path from Dexter Huron Metropark.

This work will also include paving the DPW driveway and the negotiated site improvements that were part of the sales agreement with Hafner Rentals LLC.

The improvements will include:

A 20-foot-wide asphalt driveway between Central Street and the existing asphalt driveway at the DPW gate

A 10-foot-wide asphalt pathway immediately south of the driveway
