Asphalt paving is still the most economical hard surface ground covering you can buy. The cost of an asphalt driveway in Bergen County N.J. is between $2.50 and $5.00 per sq, ft. for the paving. The swing in the price has to do with the size of the driveway and the work to done there. Kind of like buying a quart of milk or a gallon. Of course you will pay less for the gallon. The setup fee to do the job is about the same for a 500 sq.ft. driveway or a 2000 sq. ft. one and is reflected in the cost of the driveway.

Some of the other price variables of the driveway are new construction, removal andreplacement,or simply needs to be repaved . New construction will be at the higher end, removal and replacement of the driveway to be in the middle and of course repaving at the low end.

Other things that can lead to higher costs are driveway borders such as Belgium Block or Paveraprons in the driveway. Drains and drainpipes also add to the cost

An apron is a small area of pavers, belgium block or other materials that span thedrivewayin areas.

Most aprons will go at the bottom of the driveway next to the road. Aprons will also be found in front of the garage or in the middle of a circular driveway in front of the main entrance to the house. Depending on the material and the way it is layed you can expect to pay between $12.00 to 25.00 per sq. ft.

Pavers being the least expensive in this case and with stonebeingat the top.

Thank you for looking I will have moredetailsin the future.
