National Demolition Association Offers Leadership Development Training at its Feb. Convention

For the very first time in its history, the National Demolition Association Annual Convention is offering a Leadership Development Program presented by FMI, the nations leading provider of management consulting services to the engineering and construction industries.

A limited number of spaces are available for the leadership and talent development training event on February 23, 2014 at The Mirage in Las Vegas.

The training will be lead by Dr. Shirley T. Ramos, a veteran training consultant with experience in both the public and private sectors. The program is designed to expand the skills and knowledge of the next generation of leaders so that they are equipped to manage in the future. Statistics show that 76 percent of construction company owners over the age of 50 are planning to retire in the next 10 years, she noted. We need to get the next tier of managers ready to lead.

The full-day Leadership Development Program will deliver valuable insights and tools for career and organizational success in real-world environments. It is aimed at project managers, estimators, superintendents, foremen, and company owners. The interactive curriculum will include sessions on Leadership vs. Management; Managing up & Down; The Leaders World View: Who am I as a Leader & Why does it Matter?; Time Management; Purposeful Delegation: and Action Planning.

The program is limited to 30 attendees. The fee is $250; for fully registered convention attendees, the cost is $150.
