Public Open Houses on GA 400 Toll Demolition Project Scheduled Four Sessions in Fulton and Forsyth Counties in September and October

The State Road and Tollway Authority (SRTA) will hold four public information sessions in September and October 2013 to provide details on the ending of tolls and toll booth demolition at the GA 400 Toll Plaza.

In July 2012, Governor Deal announced that the state would pay off its bond debt and end tolls on GA 400 by December 2013. The ending date for toll collection has been tentatively set for the week before Thanksgiving, weather permitting.

During the four open house meetings, the public can learn more about preliminary plans for the end of toll collections and the demolition of the toll booths on GA 400. There will be no formal presentations, but transportation representatives will be on hand to share information. Scheduled meetings are as follows:

In addition to Georgia 400 demolition project details, meeting attendees will also have the opportunity to receive information from other transportation agencies, including MARTA (rail and bus transit), GRTA (Xpress bus service) and the Clean Air Campaign (Georgia Commute Options program).
