Demolition for Tunbridge Wells cinema grotspot delayed until…

THE demolition of Tunbridge Wells's former ABC cinema will not take place until the summer - at the earliest.

Last Thursday work began on putting up new hoardings around the eyesore in a bid to spruce up the Mount Pleasant Road site.

This will take two-to-three weeks to complete, and in May work will start on removing asbestos from the area.

This will take two-to-three months, bringing us to July or August - making it exactly two years since the current owners of the spot bought it for about 10 million.
