2 p.m. update: A second crash has occurred at the scene of an earlier crash on southbound Interstate 35 near the upper and lower decks in Central Austin.

However, no new injuries were reported in that second crash, which appears to be a rear-end collision near the scene of the first incident.

Ten total patients were evaluated at the scene and refused further treatment at nearby hospitals, Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Service workers said.

1:48 p.m. update: Three patients have been taken to University Medical Center Brackenridge with non life-threatening injuries in southbound Interstate 35 crash near Central Austin.

Earlier: Emergency crews are responding to the scene of a two-vehicle crash involving a rollover and potential multiple patients along Interstate 35 near Central Austin.

The crash happened around 1 p.m. Sunday near the 4600 block of Interstate 35 southbound near the split for the upper and lower decks, Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Service and Texas Department of Transportation officials said.

After emergency crews arrived, seven patients were being evaluated for injuries, officials said.

The incident has triggered some lane closures in the area and will likely delay traffic.
