Here is my Vintage PI-CORDER TC-501 5 Transistor Reel to Reel Transistorized Tape Recorder. I #39;ve had this deck for a couple of years now sitting in a box and finally decided to do something with it. I replaced all 9 electrolytic caps in the unit. I find they really come back to work as intended when this is done. Disassembled the mechanics, cleaned and relubed everything. Cleaned the Volume pot with De-Oxit cleaner then used Fader De-Oxit when it dried 12 hours later. Cleaned and Demagnetized the head. Everything works as it should. Rewind, Playback, Record. Comes with the Original Microphone and Earphone. Cery Clean unit. Battery compartment NEVER had leaky batteries and I replaced the FOAM that had deteriorated. I believe this unit was only slightly used then put back in its original box and stored for decades. There is a corner piece on the lid that is broken and missing. Other than that this Mini Reel is Mint. Still has the plastic over the handle from factory. Very Neat piece and it #39;s a PIONEER. These you can find on eBay here and there but this one is NOT Scuffed up, has oringinal Box and Styro, Mic and Earphone, and has been Serviced. I wanted a break from the big decks and ran this one over the bench for fun. Comes with a reel of useable Tape and a take up reel. Uses 2 "C" and 1 9 Volt battery not included. The Box has the original price tag on it from Thrifty Drug store.
