Jace tryouts part 1
Hello hello, it #39;s been a bit since I #39;ve uploaded any DotP play. I #39;ve been focusing on Borderlands 2 lately (and also playing some DotA 2, though I #39;m terrible at that and shan #39;t be uploading any videos any time soon). So 2013 Jace has been a bit of a disappointment to me. It #39;s not that I dislike milling. I actually quite enjoy it, even though it #39;s inherently a rather weak mechanic. It #39;s puts lots of cards in their graveyard, which is great for certain decks that interact with that. It doesn #39;t change the *chance* that your opponent will draw what they need. It #39;s essentially damage to your deck and it needs to be treated about the same as a damage to the face deck, except your opponent #39;s life is at least 60. The upshot being, of course, is that it #39;s a lot harder to replenish your deck than it is to gain life. But anyway, I loved the original DotP #39;s blue/white mill. And I was super excited about there being another mill deck this time around. But as it turned out, through practice and refinement and more practice and more refinement, I really just could not make the deck run consistently. You have to mill your opponent, and you have to manage to survive long enough to do it. And the deck was certainly capable of doing so with the right draws, but I couldn #39;t get the mix right to do it more often than just getting slaughtered before I could stabilize.
