Be sure to head down to the Adams Center this weekend for the 11th annual Missoula Building Industry Associations Home Show for Homeowners. Vendors will be showcasing products and services in advance of springs anticipated building season, giving homeowners an opportunity to see what is available before their yards begin to green up.

The Home Show offers a great opportunity to see hundreds of home products, building experts and professional services all under one roof. The show brings together customers and members of the building industry.

While the weather in Missoula this time of year is not always conducive to home improvement projects, this is the perfect time to begin thinking about what you want to accomplish in the weeks and months ahead. Whether youre building a home, planning a remodel or simply looking to retrofit new solutions into your current home, the Home Show has a vendor for any project.

Looking to sell? The show features real estate and property management firms, and appraisal specialists that can help identify solutions to maximizing sales.

DIY or fixer-upper project? Painting, roofing, gutters, siding, lighting, windows, and efficient heating and cooling systems are all examples of projects homeowners take on to increase their homes value. Vendors who rent the equipment you need to complete your project will also be on hand to answer questions and present their products.

Continuing Sunday, check out the Style Your Space booth presented by the Living Room for ideas on how you can re-imagine your favorite room. Or Ask-A-Pro two booths dedicated for you to ask an industry expert how best to accomplish that plan, retool a workspace or repair a family heirloom that has been collecting dust in the attic for the past five years. Removing the sales aspect allows people to have straightforward conversations about common problems homeowners encounter.

According to the National Association of Home Builders, 15 percent of the economy is in the homebuilding industry. Last year, more than 1,400 building permits were issued by the city of Missoulas Development Services for a total construction value exceeding $82 million. The Home Show features a number of builders who specialize in custom homebuilding. Banks and other professional services also participate. A number of retail stores will be featured, including Boyce Lumber, Freds Appliance and Murdochs. Nonprofits as well as government entities like the Montana Board of Housing and Department of Labor also have a presence.

Bring your plans, ideas or just start dreaming about how you can make your home yours. The two-day event is brought to you by MBIAs gold key sponsors, First Security Bank and BMC West. The show started Saturday and continues Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Adams Center on the University of Montana campus. Tickets are $5 at the door and children younger than 12 get in for free.
