St. Jude Dream Home gets big upgrade

BAKERSFIELD - This year's St. Jude Dream Home is different than in years passed. This time, a local business spared no expense on a donation for the children of Saint Jude.

A new granite feels like leather, holds the stone's natural color, hides fingerprints and reduces water spots.

"We donated um the kitchen countertops, the bathroom vanities and its all the new updated material," said Kelly Sheldonwith American Tile and Stone. "It's the honed granite countertops and the leather countertops."

American Tile and Stone Fabrications is just one of the local companies who have donated top-of-the-line materials and their time to the St. Jude Dream Home.

They have been service the Bakersfield community for 10 years and are proud to take part.

"It means a lot to us, we just feel blessed to be able to do this and hope we can do it every year."
