United Methodist Volunteers In Mission
United Methodist Volunteers In Mission (UMVIM) is a grassroots movement within The United Methodist Church designed to provide an official channel whereby Christians, both lay and clergy, may offer their skills and talents for Christian mission service at home and around the world on short term mission experiences. UNVIM volunteers talk about their 2-week assignment in Manaus, Brazil to help with a church construction project. One young volunteer speaks of discovering the importance of valuing spiritual needs over material goods. Another volunteer talks about the "blessing" of being in service.
