Here is the rundown of action taken Tuesday night by the Terrebonne Parish School Board. All members were present except Richard Jackson and L.P. Bordelon, and all votes were unanimous.

Action: Approved a family and medical leave in accordance with Policy for Karley Deroche, a teacher at Montegut Middle School, for Aug. 3 through Sept. 4.

Action: Accepted the highest bids received, meeting all specifications, for hunting and trapping privileges on Section 16 lands for a five-year period, July 1, 2017, through May 31, 2022, allow the Purchasing Department to re-advertise those sections where no bid was received and authorize the board president to sign all necessary documents pertaining to:Section 16, Township 17 South, Range 13 East S.H. Grizzaffi Jr., 3224 Lake Palourde Drive, Morgan City -- $7,852; and Section 16, Township 21 South, Range 16 East William Arceneaux 202 Brule Road, Labadieville -- $ 801.01.

Action: Authorized the renewal of the campsite lease on Section 16, Township 20 South, Range 19 East (Lot B), with Kenneth Stoufflet, 203 Glenhill Lane, Houma, as per La. R.S. 41:1217, for a period of 10 years, Aug. 31, 2017, through Aug. 31, 2027.

Action: Accepted the proposal from Marc Harris (agent of record), underwritten by Sentry Insurance Company, for student accident insurance, including volunteer workers, with limits of $25,000 per accident, and catastrophic athletic accident with limits of $1 million, effective Aug. 1, with an annual premium of $202,764.

Action: Adopted the 2016-17 revised budget for the Building Fund.

Action: Adopted the 2016-17 revised budget for the Special Revenue Funds.

Action: Adopted the final 2016-17 budgets for the designated funds, that the board allow the final budgets for the funds be deemed a variable budget with estimated revenues set equal to actual revenues, provided that such revenues do not exceed those approved by the board and/or state or federal regulatory authorities, and that the final budget for appropriations be set equal to amounts actually expended, provided that such expenditures do not exceed those approved by the board and/or state or federal regulatory authorities.

Action: Adopted the budget, which included the General Operating Fund, One-Cent Sales Tax Fund, 1/2-Cent Sales Tax Fund, 3/4-Cent Sales Tax Fund, Child Nutrition Program Fund and various special revenue funds for 2017-18.

Action: Adopted operating budgets for the fiscal year 2017-18.

Action: Accepted the lowest bids received, meeting all specifications, on auxiliary department materials, equipment, supplies and services from the following vendors for a period of 12 months, through June 30, 2018, and authorized the board president to sign all necessary documents; and authorize the readvertisement of Section 19 - building supplies; Section 20 - foil type insulation; Section 21 - ceiling tile and grid installation labor service; Section 22 - ceiling tile supplies; Section 32 - fence materials and supplies; Section 33 - vinyl siding and trim supplies; and Section 34 - aluminum canopy supplies, due to no bids received. The agenda item was amended because two sections had identical bids. After legal consideration, the board said it will draw lots to make the decision.

Action: Accepted the bid from Vision Christian Center, 4467 La. 24, Bourg, for a three-year lease of the vacant Grand Caillou Middle School site in the amount of $800 per month, July 12, 2017, through July 11, 2020, pending board attorney review, and authorized the board president to sign all necessary documents.

Action: Declared an emergency at South Terrebonne High School for electrical repairs of the main electrical wiring due to underground wiring failure and authorized the superintendent to publish the necessary notice and authorized the superintendent and staff to proceed with the necessary repairs.

Action: Declared property at 900, 908 and 912 Church St., Houma, as surplus and authorized the superintendent to have the property appraised; and authorized the sale of said property. All transactions are subject to board attorney review and approval. The board authorized the board president to sign all necessary documents.
