Soft-Lite Windows is pleased to pay tribute to one of its long-standing dealers, Window Nation, which was recently recognized on Window & Door magazine's Top Specialists ranking for 2014. This prestigious honor is bestowed upon the top, largest independently owned, specialty window and door companies. It is designed to highlight the unique expertise of dealers and distributors that primarily focus on the window and door market.

This new Top Specialist list ranks dealers and distributors specializing in windows, doors, skylights, sunrooms and related products for the new construction, remodeling and replacement markets, based on sales volume. To qualify for these rankings, sales of windows, doors, skylights and related products, accessories and services must account for more than 50 percent of a companys 2013 estimated total sales.

With this saturated market and plenty of companies for consumers to choose from, Window Nation takes pride in its long-standing reputation in its community. As a top-ranked window company that has been around for decades and is constantly listening to its customers feedback, Window Nation understands the importance of delivering a good quality product with a smooth installation to make it a stress-free of a process for their customers.

There are many aspects of what someone might go through during the consumer process, says Harley Magden, CEO of Window Nation. Weve fine-tuned a lot of things in the way we do business to ensure that our customers walk away from the job happy. For instance, 99% of our windows require no follow up service and we make sure that every new customer hears from us before, during and twice after the job to make sure everything went smoothly.

Window Nation is part of the excellent network of dealers and distributors that promote and sell our products, and were especially proud that they've earned this distinction," said Roy Anderson, President of Soft-Lite Windows. "Window Nation's dedication to providing the absolute best customer service, along with its business expansion plan and commitment to taking advantage of today's technology, have enabled the company to successfully achieve the consistent growth it has strived for.

Ranked as the 12th largest remodeler in the USA (by Replacement Contractor Magazine,) Window Nation sells and installs premium replacement windows, doors and siding to residential homeowners in Maryland, Northern Virginia, Northeast Ohio, Delaware, Pennsylvania and New Jersey. The company takes great pride in the 160,000+ window installations that it completed last year and is best known for the attention it pays to every detail: the products, the installation, the schedule, and its customers' homes. West Milford school district gets grant for previously-budgeted project - June 23, 2014 by Mr HomeBuilder

A $213,000 capital contribution from the state coffers was granted to the local school district last week.

The funding will cover 40 percent of the cost of window and exterior door replacements at West Milfords Apshawa and Marshall Hill elementary schools.

"Its good for the district that were getting money for the upgrades," board member James Foody said. "I just want what were getting back to be used for a good purpose and that purpose is tax relief."

According to Foody, the grant from the New Jersey Schools Development Authority (SDA) is essentially long-awaited reimbursement for improvements budgeted by the school board and funded by the taxpayers in 2011. Last April, the district approved a base bid of $363,600 for window replacement projects at Apshawa, Marshall Hill, and Paradise Knoll schools, encompassing some of the grant-funded work, he said.

The $213,396 grant to offset $533,491 in total upgrades at Apshawa and Marshall Hill is the minimum that could be granted according to SDA guidelines, which ensure eligible projects are granted at least 40 percent of their cost. Since the SDAs Regular Operating District (ROD) grant program resumed in May 2010, the state has distributed more than $271 million in grants to school districts.

The 863 grants executed by the SDA in the last 27 months have funded more than $630 million in projects designed to address "health and safety issues, student overcrowding and other critical needs," according to a SDA press release. The state funding originates from $500 million in bonds sold by the New Jersey Economic Development Authority.

The district has previously used ROD grants to fund the replacement of cafeteria tables in three of its six elementary schools. A $17,900 grant was awarded to the Maple Road Elementary School, nearly $20,900 was granted to the Marshall Hill Elementary School, and more than $26,800 went to Upper Greenwood Lake Elementary School. The three separate efforts were completed in October 2010 and January 2011, according to state SDA records.

In September 2009, the district used a nearly $97,000 ROD grant to fund a $242,000 boiler replacement program for Maple Road Elementary School.
