And so on.
WINDOW UPDATE: The decision on the waiver for the Junior League was deferred three weeks on a 6-4 vote so that a mediator could be used to see if opposing side can reach an agreement. FOR MORE ON THIS DEBATE: GO TO THE JUMP:
SCHOOL UPDATE: As expected the vote for Jacksonville to separate from the Pulaski County School District was a runaway, 3,767 to 218.
In the Little Rock School District, both incumbents on the ballot were defeated.
ZONE 1
Incumbent Norma Jean Johnson 227 Joy C. Springer 483
ZONE 5
Incumbent Jody Carreiro 221 Jim Ross 379
Victories by Ross and Springer alter the current majority dynamic of the board significantly and particularly complicate matters for Superintendent Dexter Suggs.
Re school votes: I note that 1,000 of those Jacksonville voters didn't cast a vote in favor of the property tax millage, compared with the vote on the Jacksonville school separation. It's meaningless. No increase was on the ballot and the millage continues, approved or not. But it's a measure of something when people want their schools separated but don't necessarily want to vote taxes to support them. Overall, however, the millage was approved, which is unusual in Pulaski County.

The 2014 Remodeling Magazines annual list is comprised of the nation's largest remodeling firms ranked by annual revenue. New principal named for Warren Street -

JOHNSTOWN - The Greater Johnstown School District Board of Education on Thursday approved a replacement for Warren Street Elementary School Principal Scott Ziomek, who recently resigned.
Following an executive session, the board appointed Nicole Lent of Mayfield as the new Warren Street Elementary School principal. She most recently served as the assistant principal at the Gloversville Middle School.
A search committee of board members, administrators, faculty and parents interviewed candidates and recommended Lent as one of two finalists for the principalship.
With grade-level grouping this school year, Warren Street Elementary School is now exclusively for grades four, five and six.
District Superintendent Robert DeLilli said Monday that Ziomek, with his "energy level and commitment to education," did a "great job" for the district.
"We're looking forward to [Lent] filling in Scott's absence and taking the building and continuing to improve on what's already there," DeLilli added.
Lent will earn $79,000 per year, prorated in her tenured position. She will be begin Oct. 14 and her appointment runs through Oct. 13, 2017.
"I am very excited about my new adventure at Warren Street Elementary School and Johnstown school district," Lent said in a prepared statement Monday. "I think this is a very exciting time for the district as they begin grade-level groupings, and am grateful for the opportunity to join the team at Warren Street with my experience as a fourth-grade teacher, and in special education in grades fifth and sixth. As assistant principal at Gloversville Middle School, I have grown as an instructional leader and am eager to bring my knowledge and experiences with me. I can't wait to get to know all the students, families and staff at Warren Street."
Ziomek resigned, effective Thursday, to become the new assistant principal for Schalmont Middle School in Schenectady. He has served the district since 2009.
Prior to 2011, Lent served as an elementary teacher in the Northville Central School District, teaching grades one, two and four for nearly 10 years. She also taught special education in the Mayfield Central School District and at Maple Avenue Middle School in Saratoga Springs.

Welcome back, Premier League football. We've missed you dearly.
The international break and EURO 2016 qualifiers meant we have been without our favourite league since the end of August. Two weeks of misery, and more importantly reflection on the transfer window come and gone, leading to even more hype and anticipation for the debuts of all new signings across the Barclays Premier League this weekend.
Since no games have yet been played following a flurry of transfer activity, it's still appropriate to dole out the grades for each club on their ins and outs through the summer window. An incredible 835 million was spent this summer, shattering the previous record of 630 million spent in 2013. It was a dizzying process, sifting through rumour and speculation leading to eventual dealing.
Call this a proper refresher on how your team and others faired in the transfer market. The report card may be late arriving, but nonetheless fitting heading into Match-day four.
Arsenal
Grade: B+ Net Money Spent: 46 Key Players In: Alexis Sanchez, Danny Welbeck, Mathieu Debuchy, Calum Chambers Key Players Out: Bacary Sagna, Thomas Vermaelen, Carl Jenkinson (loan)
The grade would have been an 'A' if another top defensive midfield player was brought to the Emirates. That miss aside, it was a very good summer for Arsene Wenger. Sanchez fits perfectly in the Arsenal team, possessing pace and precision in attack. Welbeck could turn into a coup, especially with Olivier Giroud out long-term. Whether Welbeck can be a consistent finisher remains up for debate, but his speed will work well with all the talent on the ball.
Louis Van Gaal's comment Welbeck wasn't up to standard for United was accurate. Welbeck has a long way to go before being in the same conversation of the likes of Falcao, Rooney or Van Persie. He will have every opportunity in the coming months. A running start against Manchester City Saturday, coming off a brace for country is as high pressure an introduction one can have. The pick-up of Chambers represents Wenger's keen eye for the future. He will be relied upon to replace Vermaelen over the short-term with no other suitable replacement brought in.
Aston Villa
Grade: D+ Net Money Spent: 6 Key Players In: Tom Cleverley (loan), Carlos Sanchez, Aly Cissoko, Philippe Senderos Key Players Out: Antonio Luna (loan), Karim Al Ahmadi, Marc Albrighton
