Mario Balotelli is stuffed at Liverpool unless he proves by Christmas that he is no turkey - October 24, 2014 by Mr HomeBuilder

STRIKER Mario Balotelli is fighting for his Liverpool career with manager Brendan Rodgers telling him there is no room for sentiment in football and that he won't hesitate to bring in a replacement during the January transfer window.

Rodgers and Balotelli met before Thursday training and the player was fined for swapping shirts with Real Madrid defender Pepe at half-time of the 3-0 Champions League defeat by the Spanish side the night before.

More importantly than the shirt-swapping issue, the Italian's performances since his 16million move from AC Milan two months ago are proving a huge concern to Rodgers - and the January transfer window opens in 68 days.

He said: At this moment in time, Ill be working with the players that we have and he is one of them. Not just improving him, but improving all the players. And we will see come January what the team needs."

Balotelli has had the second-most shots per game of any striker in any of the top five leagues in Europe, but is yet to score in the Premier League. His only Liverpool goal so far came in the Champions League win over Ludogorets.

Rodgers said: We brought in the player to give him a chance, and [we] give him every chance. At this moment in time, of course, he hasnt scored the goals we would like or want. We have to give him that opportunity, and we will give him every opportunity.

The boy is trying very hard to be the best he can be out there on the pitch. He's working hard to increase his opportunities of playing in the team. Whether that will be good enough remains to be seen.

It is the striker's contribution to the high-intensity approach that defines Rodgers' team that will be the key to his future, with Balotelli told in no uncertain terms he will be on his way unless he can produce what the system demands.

The pairhad a heart to heart on Thursday and Rodgers has spelt out what he requires from a forward who leads the Liverpool line - pace, strength in running in behind defences, and more importantly, a willingness to press incessantly.

So far the Italy international has failed to provide that and while his manager has sympathy for the difficulties the player has faced given the struggles of the team, he is prepared to make a tough call on Balotelli's future if he believes it simply isn't working.

New Jersey & New York Renewal by Andersen Replacement Window Dealer Supports Local Military Heroes - October 23, 2014 by Mr HomeBuilder

CRANFORD, NJ (PRWEB) October 23, 2014

Renewal by Andersen of Central and Northern New Jersey, the replacement window and patio door affiliate of Andersen Windows serving Central and Northern New Jersey and Metropolitan New York, Staten Island and Rockland County is proud to give back to U.S. military veterans and active duty soldiers suffering from post-traumatic stress (PTS) and traumatic brain injury as a result of military service after 9/11.

Renewal by Andersen of New Jersey is sponsoring a benefit event to raise funds for support the noble efforts of K9s for Warriors on Nov. 16, 2014 at the Union County Performing Arts Center in Rahway, NJ.

The event, K9s for Warriors Comedy Night, expects to raise over $65,000 for the non-profit organization that helps provide service dogs to U.S. veterans suffering from post-traumatic stress and traumatic brain injury as a result of military service post 9/11. The organizations goal is to give a new leash on life to rescue dogs and military heroes, empowering warriors to return to civilian life with dignity and independence.

Post Traumatic Stress and Traumatic Brain Injuries are real issues for our soldiers coming back from the Middle East, Larry Landes, Renewal by Andersen of Central and Northern New Jersey president said. These issues have destroyed the lives of countless servicemen and women and these dogs have proven to have a dramatic positive impact on these heroes lives. We are honored to help however we can to get these heroes back on their feet and living productive lives again.

Our program has been successful, with documented recovery from the debilitating horrors of war, but the need is critical and overwhelming, Shari Duval, K9s for Warriors president said. We currently have a year-long waiting list, we must do more. Our plans are to expand our current program to serve more warriors. We will continue our goal of serving our Nations Greatest Asset, our Military Men and Women.

K9s for Warriors reports that it costs approximately $15,000 to train and pair up a rescue dog with a wounded warrior.

    According to K9s for Warriors

Service dogs have been long used as companions and helpers for those with disabilities such as blindness, but only recently have we learned how they can help guide those suffering with less visible conditions.

As a recent graduate of the K9 for Warriors said, My dog provides me with a focal point to turn to when I feel myself triggered. In the past, my anxiety would ignite, like a rocket on a launch pad. Now, I have the wonderful ability to turn to my K9 to break the cycle. When I am in public, he has already learned what makes me anxious and leans into me to let me know he is right there with me. His presence is a confidence builder for me. In private, he has an innate ability to sense when I am spiraling downward. He asserts himself into my gloomy place and brightens my spirits. His unconditional love lets me know I can DO this! and we are going to face the world TOGETHER!

Water updates before council - October 21, 2014 by Mr HomeBuilder

Aqua Ohio Area Manager Scott Ballenger provided Tiffin City Council with an update about 2014 water main replacement projects and announced several projects for 2015 during the meeting Monday evening.

He said pipes were replaced on East Perry Street in conjunction with the sewer improvement project. Pipe replacement is to be completed by the end of the month on Main Street, he said.

Ballenger said other projects included replacement of old fire hydrants, placement of new fire hydrants, valve replacements to minimize the number of houses out of service in an emergency and elimination of dead ends in the line.

He said Aqua Ohio tries to coordinate with city projects so all work is completed at once, as was the case with pipe replacement on East Perry Street.

Ballenger also said about $2.6 million is expected to be invested in infrastructure projects next year.

Although it is subject to change, pipe replacements are scheduled on Ann Street, Park Place, Avery Street, Melmore Street, Hall Street and Nile Street.

Councilman Jim Roberts said work took very long on the Main Street project and when he tried to contact Aqua Ohio to find out when the project would be completed, he could not get answers.

Due to safety issues, he was concerned about the time taken on the project. He also said sections by Heidelberg University and on South Washington Street seemed to be completed much quicker.

Ballenger said Aqua Ohio did get work near Heidelberg University done faster due to the start of classes. He also said South Washington Street work was completed due to the Heritage Festival.

Although Ballenger said Aqua Ohio coordinated with schools concerning busing and other safety issues, workers cannot foresee every obstacle.
