Zen Windows Ends High Pressure In-Home Sales - February 6, 2015 by Mr HomeBuilder

Rockville, MD (PRWEB) February 06, 2015

Zen Windows introduces a new online business model for purchasing replacement windows and doors for your home. The new approach eliminates high-pressure sales environments as well as costly commissions. It ensures that everyone receives an honest price for a quality window and door, all from the convenience of your computer or tablet.

Montgomery Countys Scott Halle isnt a stranger to window sales. Before becoming President of Zen Windows of the Washington DC Metro area, he spent two decades working for a few of the largest window replacement companies. Something never felt quite right, says Scott Halle. If youve spent any time shopping for windows or doors, you could probably relate to a number of high pressure tactics.

In-home selling tactics, such as neighborhood discounts, buy one and get one free, window trade-in programs, free installation, and of course the today only price, etc. always leave consumers wondering if they really are getting the best price. Like many others, Scott Halle knew there had to be a better way. Thats when he discovered the Zen Windows approach.

Zen Windows offered franchise opportunities to a select few who had significant experience in window sales. Their model eliminates the entire in-home sales process by allowing homeowners to simply enter basic information (number, style, rough dimensions, etc.) through the ZenWindows.com website, email, or over the phone. They receive a firm quote in minutes. There are no gimmicks, fake offers, or pricing games, added Halle. The price is the price; thats what makes it so appealing.

Better yet since there are no commissions to pay, no salespeople or showroom to support, and very low overhead, Zen Windows and Doors are some of the most competitively priced products in the marketplace. As an added bonus, the quality of the Zen Window offerings is second to none.

Window quotes are available by visiting http://zenwindows.com/locations/replacement-windows-washington-dc/

About Zen Windows of Washington, DC:

Zen Windows of Washington, DC offers a wide variety of replacement windows, sliding glass doors, entry doors and storm doors. They believe in offering a stress-free, honest and uncomplicated process by promising that no salesperson will ever waste 3 to 4 hours of your valuable time with high-pressure pricing games and buy today only gimmicks. Using todays technology, they can gather all your project information by phone or email and provide you with a firm quote in a matter of minutes. They will never ask you for a deposit or down payment. You dont pay until your project is finished (usually in 2-3 weeks) and you are completely satisfied.

Arena Seat Replacement Set for Summer - February 6, 2015 by Mr HomeBuilder

Plans are for WesBanco Arena to close from June 1 to Aug. 26 as all-new seats and handrails are installed at the downtown venue, according to City Manager Robert Herron.

The seat replacement will go out to bid later this week, Herron told City Council on Tuesday. It is the second of three phases of an estimated $5.6 million renovation project at the arena.

With a bid opening for the project scheduled for Feb. 20, City Council could approve a contract for the project in March, but work must wait until June due to already-scheduled events.

The last event listed on the arena's website is John Marshall High School's graduation on May 28.

The project schedule aims for minimal disruption of operations at the arena, according to officials. Arena manager Dennis Magruder has said summer is typically the slowest period for events.

The renovation's first phase, an $850,000 videoboard system including a high-definition, 20-foot by 8-foot center-mounted board and ribbon boards around the seating bowl, debuted Jan. 23. Vice Mayor Eugene Fahey said he was impressed by the new technology, which replaces equipment that was original to the 38-year-old facility.

"People wanting to book events at the arena are looking for that kind of quality, and we now have it," he said.

The final and most expansive phase of the renovation - a facade overhaul that will move the ticket windows indoors, bring the entrance to street level and, city officials believe, give the arena a much more modern feel - is slated to begin later this year.

With a tentative completion date of mid-2016, the arena will work around the project to continue hosting events after the seating project wraps up in August.

Revenue from Wheeling's municipal sales tax that went into effect Oct. 1, 2013, will be used to repay bonds sold in December to fund the project.

Redknapp leaves QPR - February 3, 2015 by Mr HomeBuilder

Harry Redknapp insists he did not resign as QPR manager because of the club's lack of signings in the January transfer window.

Veteran boss Redknapp has quit as boss of the Barclays Premier League strugglers citing imminent knee replacement surgery as his reason.

And his first-team coach Glenn Hoddle, the former England manager, has also confirmed that he has left his position at Loftus Road following Redknapp's departure.

Redknapp made his decision on Tuesday morning, hours after Rangers had failed to land a number of targets on transfer deadline day and owner Tony Fernandes had tweeted there would be "no more cheque book".

But Redknapp, 67, has stressed he had not fallen out with Fernandes over the matter.

Redknapp told the Daily Mail: "I haven't got the hump. We haven't had a row. I knew some while ago that we were not going to be able to get much done in January.

"We had one real target on the last day, Emmanuel Adebayor, because we are short up front. But he was too much money. I accept that.

"There are no hard feelings on my part - I've not had a problem with Tony Fernandes in all my time there."

He added: "I know what people think - that I've been sacked, or stormed off because we couldn't get the players in.

"My son Jamie said that my timing has to be the worst in the world. When I look back on my career, it certainly isn't my strong point but I can't control what people think."

Harry Redknapp quits QPR job due to knee surgery - February 3, 2015 by Mr HomeBuilder

Rangers chairman Tony Fernandes accepted the former Tottenham boss' resignation just a day after tweeting there would be "no more cheque book" as the transfer window closed on Monday.

Redknapp had been under intense pressure for months with QPR languishing in a relegation dogfight, fending off what he claimed was a club insider trying to undermine his position.

Redknapp continuously claimed to have the backing of chairman Fernandes despite being rumoured to be one game from the sack on three separate occasions this season.

Head of football operations Les Ferdinand has taken temporary charge, supported by Chris Ramsey, while QPR seek a new manager.

Former Tottenham boss Tim Sherwood is the early favourite to replace Redknapp and link up again with Ferdinand, who was part of his White Hart Lane coaching staff.

"Sadly I need immediate surgery on my knee which is going to stop me from doing my job in the coming weeks," said Redknapp in a QPR statement.

"It means I won't be able to be out on the training pitch every day, and if I can't give 100 per cent, I feel it's better for someone else to take over the reins.

"My relationship with Tony Fernandes has been one of the highlights of my footballing career and I wish the club every success. I am confident they will survive in the Premier League this year.

"I have had such a fantastic time at QPR. I would like to thank the board, the players and all my staff, and especially the supporters who have been absolutely fantastic to me since I arrived at the club for their tremendous support."

Redknapp had continuously claimed he needed to add a host of January reinforcements to his squad in his bid to help QPR avoid the drop.

Arsenal transfer news and rumours: deadline day as it happened - February 3, 2015 by Mr HomeBuilder

23.15 Some chat on The Twitter that Coquelin may actually be about to sign a contract extension at Arsenal. Quite a month for him.

And quite a day for me, hauling this blog through the final eight hours during which Arsenal steadfastly refused to do any business at all. You've been great, I've been exasperated, and, for now at least, we're done. Until next time...

Please all head over to our main Transfer Deadline Day blog being run by Thom Gibbs until 01.00. God speed to him.

23.07 Adebayor going nowhere. Not QPR, not West Ham. Nowhere. Staying with Spurs. It was all a trap, get out, get out quick.

23.06 Now just 209 days, 23 hours, 54 minutes and 38 seconds until the summer transfer window closes.

23.01 Paul Merson removes his microphone and heads for his taxi. Devastated to learn he's contracted for another half hour, taking us past closing time of course.

    23.00 News.

    22.59 Ha ha ha.

22.57 Three minutes to go. Adebayor still flapping around on the North Circular.

22.55 I'm going to get up and sing Danke Shoen at 23.00 but first let's reflect, for a final time, on a successful January for Arsenal.

Tottenham Hotspur transfer deadline day: A brief history - February 3, 2015 by Mr HomeBuilder

For a while, Spurs meant Harry, and there are races as yet undiscovered on Pluto who have a word for talking through the car window on transfer deadline day in the manner of Harry Redknapp (below). Or bare bones, in their dialect.

Probably Spurss greatest moment of squeaky bum transfer business was in summer 2010 when Harry managed to land Rafael van der Vaart for the absolutely bargain basement sum of 8 million, a paltry sum for a triffic player such as the Dutch master.

Tottenham have also come with a late run for the likes of Roman Pavlyuchenko, who cost 10 million and was intended as a replacement for Dimitar Berbatov. Not to get too technical, but he wasnt a replacement for Dimitar Berbatov. He was more of a latter-day replacement for Sergei Rebrov, and nobody wanted that.

For some reason, a lot of Tottenhams last-minute dealings seem to have involved players leaving rather than coming. Jermain Defoe (below) scurried out of White Hart Lane to Pompey where he set the South Coast alight with a 17 goals in 36 appearances, form so impressive that he was lured back to Tottenham the following January.

Steven Pienaar is another one who has seen things look up away from the Lane, while Danny Murphy enjoyed something of a new lease of life when he left Tottenham in summer 2007 to Fulham. He will always have a place in the hearts of those down at Craven Cottage after a header on the final day of the season versus Pompey kept the Cottagers up.
