: A portion of an installation by Swiss artist Christian Waldvogel at the Kochi-Muziris Biennale was reported missing on Wednesday evening.
A 3D-printed steel tile that was part of his installation titled Recently, the non-flat-earth paradigm was reported missing from the main venue at Aspinwall House around 4.30 p.m. on Wednesday. The organisers informed the police immediately. Police arrived on the spot and frisked the visitors and others present in the area, but could not find the installation. The organisers have not given us a written complaint. So we have not registered a case yet, said a police officer. Officials are examining the CCTV footage and have begun searching the area to find the missing work.
The installation was inspired by the artists finding that for a person in Kochi, Indias northernmost point lies 125 km underneath the horizona fall that is equal to 15 times the height of the countrys tallest mountain range: the Himalayas.

MEBANE A North Carolina small business's work is in the spotlight Monday on HGTV.
Alamance County's Signature Flooring is being featured in an episode of the home makeover show Love It or List It.
"We were very surprised, very excited," said sales and design associate Vicki Whittemore.
Its a big deal for the small business in the heart of Mebane.
It definitely shows our tile work and some finished work we have done in a home that is in the Research Triangle Park area, Whittemore said.
"We are a small business, said co-owner Charles Harding. In fact, there are only six of us here. We are all part of a big team, and we all feel like family."
Leaders with the full-scale flooring company, which installs everything from tile to hardwood, call their experience with the show fantastic. While the owners at Signature Flooring couldn't go into details, they say their relationship with HGTV will go well-beyond Monday night's episode.
They're hoping the national exposure to the way they do business will give them even more of a boost.
The HGTV folks approached us personally and asked if we would like to be involved, Harding said. We were originally just going to do one project. They approached us, and I'd like to think it's because of a lot companies forget about, like cleanliness, the way folks are dressed, the vehicles they drive, the way they represent their business "
Monday night's episode of Love It or List It was the show's first this season.

Graham Construction is the general contractor for the project that started just before Christmas. The work is expected to be completed in February or March, OKeefe said. City of Spokane Valley building permit information lists the project value at nearly$700,000.
A Sherwin-Williams paint supply store is under construction in north Spokane as part of a new retail building being erected at 9412 N. NewportHighway.
The nearly 4,000-square-foot store is expected to open this spring. The new outlet will occupy just over half of the almost 8,000-square-foot structure, which has a listed project value of at least$700,000.

One of the oldest mosques in Rawalpindi city, one Markazi Jamia Masjid at Jamia Masjid road is a true architectural wonder. The building has been embellished with intricate tile work and detailed frescos in vibrant colours which have stood the test of time.
According to historian Shiraz Haider, The mosque was built in 1903, just outside the old city of Rawalpindi, at Circular road. That portion of road is now known as Jamia Masjid road due to the mosque.
Muslims of the city provided the donation to build the mosque. Residents Qazi Gohar Ali, Mian Nabi Bakhsh and Mian Qutbuddin played a major role in contraction of the mosque, said Shiraz Haider.
Molana Muhammad Kech Makrani, father of renowned folk artist Afzal Pervez was appointed as the first Khateeb of the mosque after its completion. The fresco artwork on the interior walls was done by Ghulam Nabi Kamil.
The Jamia Masjid presents a panoramic view with only one entrance from Eastern side and central courtyard in front. The Mosque has three domes and several small minarets. It is one of the few mosques in the Pothohar region which replicated traditional Mughal architecture.
The mosque is a continuation of a centuries old tradition, Dr. Ghafer Shahzad, an architect and architecture writer told Dawn.
According to Ghafer Shazad the facade of the mosque is a multiplicity of a basic design element the arch. While the mosque has been decorated with traditional fresco but the materials, colours and techniques used are not traditional. This reflects the development of a local tradition in architecture and aesthetic expression. The domes are not as large they are in traditional Mughal mosque design but the odd number of arches and domes are inspired by Mughal style.

LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) Angelo Douglas is serving a five-year prison term for attempted robbery and a weapons count. But when the 22-year-old is released next year, he's on track to walk out with a certificate in amateur carpentry, able to hang drywall and install laminate flooring and tile.
Douglas is among a handful of Nebraska prison inmates participating in a program that trains them for entry-level work in the construction business.
