Leads for the sales of Pompano Beach sunrooms, patio covers and screen enclosures have soared since the placement by Venetain Builders, Inc. of a retail sales display in the Pompano Beach Home Depot, said Venetian President Chris Noe.

Our residential sales have increased 150 percent throughout our territory in the first quarter of this year, and leads from Home Depot stores, including the Pompano Beach location, are a big reason, Noe said. Venetian placed custom-made retail sales displays in the Pompano Beach store and in 40 other South Florida Home Depots in late 2012 and early 2013. Each display looks like a miniature sunroom addition or screen enclosure. It unfolds to showcase 8 running feet of design and materials options, such as aluminum framing, screens, insulated wall and roof panels, windows and doors.

The displays grab customers attention and plant some dreams, Noe said. "Once shoppers call us or ask Home Depot to arrange a no-cost at-home consultation, they see even more detailed, life-size options right at their door.

Custom design, just as much as quality, is a key to customer satisfaction. Our designers know that one design doesnt fit every home and every neighborhood in Pompano Beach, and certainly not in all of South Florida. We are extremely happy with the sunroom that was built for us. Our main objective initially was to get an eating area outside of our kitchen. We were able to accomplish that and we use it all the time. The whole process of building the sunroom was extremely smooth. All the permits and everything was done for us. We came home every day and watched how the job progressed. We are extremely happy with this room. Increased demand explains most of the increase, he said.

Our partnership with Home Depot has definitely boosted the demand for Venetian Builders-designed and installed sunrooms, patio enclosures, patio rooms and screened pool enclosures, he said.

Venetian Builders is assembling custom-designed product displays and installing them in all south Florida Home Depots. The displays help Home Depot sales associates understand what we can offer, and they help the customer appreciate the variety and quality we offer, Noe said.

Home Depot also offers financing assistance on major projects, which helps some homeowners get the addition they want, he said.

Venetians commitment to quality is another reason for doubling personnel, Noe said. Some companies might have decided they could expand with fewer people than weve involved, but we want to maintain the quality that has helped us build our customer base, he explained. Many of our structures dont just meet the hurricane standards in the tough Florida Building Code, but exceed it.

In its expansion into commercial work, Venetian has renovated hotel rooms, built a new deck for the Marseilles Hotel in Miami Beach and expanded a nursing home with sunrooms, rather than through more expensive additions built by traditional construction methods.

Increasingly, commercial property owners recognize aluminum structures as a viable alternative to more expensive construction, Noe added.
