Champions League: Sky Bet verdict -

Champions League. Click here to bet.
Richard Evison: With the history Liverpool have in this competition many of their fans will be believing they can go all the way. The Reds should be strong enough to get through their group though coming top in recent years has proved a huge advantage given the draw you can get in the second round. I think they can beat Real Madrid at home in the group stage given the atmosphere that will be created so topping the group at 11/4 is not out of the question. I suspect the season may catch up with them as things intensify towards the end of the season so 7/2 for Liverpool to go out in the quarter finals in our stage of elimination market looks a fair shout.
Jess Gill: I think Liverpool will get out of their group comfortably but I think thats where their Champions League return will come to an end. Since theyre in a group with Real Madrid its quite likely theyll finish second which means theyll have to face a tough team in the next round and I dont think they have what it takes to beat one of the top European Sides. I think Liverpool stage Of elimination in the last 16 at 5/4 could be a good bet.
Simon Thompson: After a number of years not involved in the competition Anfield will be ready for the return of big European nights, and the atmosphere will be as electric as ever. Liverpool fans should see their team negotiate the group stage, though their defence may struggle against Real Madrids front line so winning the group will probably be a little beyond them. This will leave them open to another big name in the second round where they will likely end their journey this season as the increase in fixtures begins to catch up.
RE: It seems to be the same old story every season with Arsenal in this competition. They have a good habit of going through their group fairly comfortably only to be found wanting at the last 16 or quarter-final stage. I would like to say I could see this changing but I fear Arsene Wengers refusal to change tactics and mix things up a little will cost them against the better teams once again.
JG: Arsenal have clearly improved their squad on previous years and I think it will show in the Champions League this season. I think they have a team that suits cup competitions much more than the league campaign so I dont think many teams will want to meet Arsenal in the knock-out stages. They lack consistency but I think theyll show this season that on their day they can match most of the top sides in the Champions League. I wouldnt be massively surprised to see them maybe make it all the way to the semi-finals.
ST: Id like to say yes. Theyve been eliminated by Bayern Munich twice in recent seasons and both times can argue they could have qualified instead but for a bit more luck. With the additions of Sanchez and Welbeck this may give the extra cutting edge up front that can take them further, but unfortunately not all the way to the final. Id be backing them at 8/1 to be eliminated in the semi-final.
RE: Things never seem to be easy in this competition for Manchester City and Manuel Pellegrini must have been cursing his luck when the group draw was made once again. However I am not sure Bayern are the force they once were and Manchester City with their firepower should go there with no fear. I like the 2/1 on City to top this group though Ashely Coles Roma cannot be discounted either. I think City will focus on this competition this season and if Yaya Toure is focused anything is possible. If you take the 14/1 on them to win the competition I am sure you will get a good run for your money.
JG: Its a tough group again for City this season, however if they came back from Munich with a draw, it would put them in a good position for the rest of the group games. I think theyll have enough to get out the group but theyre likely to have a tough last 16 tie against another big side where I think theyll really struggle as they did against Barcelona last season. They have a really good side but still dont seem to look comfortable in the Champions League and I havent seen anything that could change that this season.
ST: City fans will be cursing the draw for putting them with Bayern again but they should be too strong for the Germans. With strong defensive additions to the squad, Yaya Toure, unstoppable on his day, will have more attacking freedom and Sergio Agueros goals will be key in winning the group. In doing so this should ensure they avoid the likes of Barcelona in the last 16 and give them a real opportunity of going far.

Champions League: Sky Bet verdict
OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) A key piece of evidence, hundreds of oral testimonies and new artifacts were unveiled Monday at the Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum dedicated to the deadly 1995 bombing.
The additions are part of a nearly $8 million project that aims to attract a new generation of visitors to the structure, including those too young to remember the attack by Timothy McVeigh on the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building that killed 168 people and injured hundreds more.
Detailed information about the investigation of the attack has been added to the museum for the first time. Among the evidence now on display is the 1977 Mercury Grand Marquis that McVeigh was driving when he was pulled over and arrested north of Oklahoma City the day of the bombing.
"People get to see from beginning to end what did happen here in Oklahoma City," said Susan Winchester, the chairwoman of the Oklahoma City National Memorial Foundation, who lost her sister in the blast.
Winchester said victims' family members visited the museum on Sunday and were overwhelmed with the new artifacts and enhanced exhibits.
Patrick Gallagher of Gallagher and Associates, the company planning and implementing the improvements, echoed Winchester, saying the additions will help visitors see the story "come full circle to a justice-served perspective."
On April 19, 1995, McVeigh drove a truck filled with fertilizer and fuel oil to the front of the federal building and detonated the makeshift bomb. He was executed for the crime, while co-conspirator Terry Nichols is serving life in prison.
The enhancements include more than 1,100 new pieces of exhibits, new interactive stations, and video and newspaper coverage.
In one installation, a large map of the United States shows how the bombing reached beyond state lines. One example shows how, before the attack, McVeigh was attending a gun show in Akron, Ohio, while Nichols was committing a robbery in Arkansas.
In another room plays a recording of a water resource board meeting that was taking place the morning of the bombing. The meeting was moving along normally until 9:02 a.m., when an explosion is heard and chaos ensues. A panel then lights up and shows photos of each of the victims killed in the blast.

Fremantle may be out of the 2014 AFL premiership race, but coach Ross Lyon says his side is in really good shape to challenge again in 2015.
He has predicted some key additions to the Dockers list, as well as some significant changes to the way the side trains.
Lyon said that his coaches needed more time to work with the players and that the club needed to investigate a better goal kicking program.
That comes on the back of the 11.17 the Dockers kicked in their 22-point loss to Port on Saturday night.

The Dockers let a 31-point first-half lead slip in their cut throat semi-final against Port Adelaide at Patersons Stadium to lose.
They failed to make the most of their opportunities when they dominated play in the first half - which you can't do against the best second-half side in the competition.
By half-time they had managed 6.11 from 28 inside 50 entries. Port had kicked 3.5.
But Port fired after the break, kicking 12.10 to Fremantle's 5.6 after half-time, sparked by Robbie Gray's four goals in the third term.

Common debate: remodel or move? -

Q: Our ranch style house is in a good location great, actually, with amazing schools. But the kitchen is horrible, and there is no master suite, just three bedrooms and a bath and half. Our yard is pretty big, but I dont know if it would be cheaper to expand into the yard, build a second story or simply look for a house that would better suit our growing family.
Should we remodel or move or would we have to do all this work even to sell it?
Stacey
A: I get asked questions similar to this one a lot! In fact, its such a common question it inspired the popular HGTV show Love It or List It. Many think they need to remodel to sell a house. Some enjoy the finished house so much they end up staying.
Dreaming of a nicer house is typical for most people. Whether remodeled or new, first decide what your needs actually are, and then decide what would be the most effective, budget-conscious and desirable way to meet those needs. It might even be worthwhile to hire an architect or designer for a few hours to help you brainstorm.
I usually recommend going easy on remodeling projects or additions simply to sell a house. Stick mostly to cosmetic issues. The new owners can put their own stamp on a house, and the seller saves money and time. If youve ever seen a house for sale with a new kitchen or bath with a quality you dont like, then you understand this philosophy.
But if youre planning on staying in the home for more than five to seven years, remodeling might be best, even if its not the least expensive option. Thats especially true if you like your location and the schools are good.
Think about your budget, your lifestyle and the changes youd make. Just like in the HGTV show, your dream house might be hidden under your own feet. Good luck, and let me know how it goes!

Common debate: remodel or move?
Nikon D750 full-frame SLR breaks cover -
September 12, 2014 by

The Nikon D750 has the same sensor resolution as the D610, but a host of improvements and additions.
The new Nikon D750 has an awful lot in common with the existing Nikon D610, but when you look closer there are new features, enhancements and additions, with some from the D810 that add up to a very interesting proposition.
The big story (or non-story) is that the sensor resolution is the same. Both cameras have 24.3 megapixel sensors, though Nikon says the D750's is 'newly designed'.
Even the continuous shooting speeds are almost the same the D610 can shoot at 6 frames per second, while the D750 can go a fraction faster at 6.5 frames per second. This will be a surprise to those who expected Nikon to produce a high-speed version of the D610 with the same sensor but a faster frame rate.
There is still good news for action fans, though. The D750 uses Nikon's professional level 51-point AF system, together with the new Group Area AF mode first seen on the flagship D4s model. A new Expeed processor boosts the image processing power too, so that the D750 offers an ISO range of 100-12,800 (expandable up to 51,200), which is a whole EV better than the D610.
The Nikon D750 has a tilting rear LCD, too, and this is a first for a Nikon full-frame D-SLR. It tilts both up and down, so you can use it for low-level and overhead shooting.
This will appeal to those who need to shoot movies and the D750 adds 60p and 50p to its list of frame rates, which means it can shoot slow-motion video in full 1920 x 1080 HD. In fact the movie features are a big step up from the D610's, with manual control over lens aperture while filming and 'clean' HDMI output for simultaneously recording uncompressed video to an external storage device.
Nikon continues to work quietly behind the scenes on battery life, and the D750 can take up to 1,230 shots on a single charge, or 55 minutes of movie footage.
Best of all, the D750 comes with Wi-Fi connectivity built in, so you can control the camera from your smart device and copy images across, without needing the little plug-in WU-1a and WU-1b needed by other Nikon D-SLRs.
The D750 will be available from September 23rd for 1,800 (approx US$2,919/AU$3,212). It probably won't tempt you if you had your eye on a Nikon D810 or Nikon D4s, but if you were thinking of getting the D610, the D750 gives you a whole lot more versatility for a (relatively) modest increase in price.

Chris Brown Rebounds on Social 50 Chart -

Chris Brown re-enters the Social 50 chart at No. 22 after a one-week hiatus from the tally, thanks to a flurry of promotion tied to the upcoming release of his sixth studio album, X.
Chris Brown's Full Billboard Cover Story
A countdown-style promotion of the album on Brown's Instagram is responsible for more than 2.7 million likes on the platform for the week, subsequently leading to the acquisition of 51,000 new fans (Brown gains more than 200,000 overall across Facebook and Twitter). Starting on Sept. 1, each day a 15-second snippet of a track from the album, including "Loyal" and "New Flame," garnered anywhere between 60,000 to 75,000 likes each.
The Social 50 incorporates the following metrics: weekly additions of fans across Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Instagram; reactions and conversations across Twitter, YouTube, Instagram and Facebook; and views of an artist's Wikipedia page, according to music analytics provider Next Big Sound.
Further up the chart, One Direction ascends 24-7 after debuting the full-length trailer for their second film, "Where We Are," named after the band's current tour. The Sept. 3 announcement also brings a 1,326 percent increase in reactions on Instagram.
The huge jump in Instagram traction was fueled by how the band didn't load a single image in the previous charting week, so, when the group went back to its usual loading of images (in the newest tracking frame), there was obviously a huge gain in reaction. One Direction is expected to rise going into next week after announcing their newest album, FOUR.
Over on the realtime Billboard + Twitter charts, Austin Mahone gets his third entry as "Till I Find You" comes in at No. 25 on the weekly Top Tracks tally. The title charts after Mahone posted a tweet promoting that the track will be featured on the game Just Dance 2015 (due in late October).
Lastly, Los Angeles-based electronic hip-hop/jazz fusion specialist Flying Lotus gets his first entry after generating a sizable amount of buzz thanks to Kendrick Lamar jumping on his newly released track, "Never Catch Me," which comes in at No. 19. "Never Catch Me" is a track from Flying Lotus' forthcoming album You're Dead that's scheduled to drop Oct. 6.
