Airguns are the perfect tool for this. if you want to do the same, you might want to call the city, and police advise them of what your going to do, so they dont show up guns drawn. also you need a hunting license i harvested over 300 squirrels on my property over the course of a year some made it on tape, while others did not, i strive to get a good clean kill, mostly headshots on every single one, which i manage about 95% of the time (even though they sometimes roll around violently) when a critter is hit in the central nervous system (brain/spine) the nerves sends out false info, and the critter looks like its cramping, or it might jump , or roll around violently, this is normal and happens in all animals when hit in the brain. but the critter is dead its the remnant of neurons firing that you see. Its a movie depiction that when you get hit in the brain you just keel over, not real life !
