Since the initial bond-coat is very thinat around a little under 0.5 inchesthe CarveStone process strengthens the chemical bond to the surface. Not only is the CarveStone coating hand-troweled, it is also hand-carved, hand-colored, and hand-grouted, thus giving the project an aesthetic feel in addition to its functionality. The thickness of the finished CarveStone coating itself is usually around 0.375 inches thick.
