The shares that were gifted into the trust represent 26 percent of Paul Carricos holdings as of December 28, 2012, and will be included as indirect holdings of Mr. Carrico in SEC filings. SmartWay Transport is the U.S. Environmental Protection Agencys flagship program for improving fuel efficiency and reducing greenhouse gas emissions and air pollution in the transportation supply chain industry. SmartWay partners must demonstrate that they are taking responsibility for the emissions associated with the movement of goods, are committed to sustainable business practices, and are reducing their carbon footprint.

The Compound divisions utilization of SmartWay-approved carriers has contributed to the lowering of carbon dioxide, nitrogen oxide and particulate-matter emissions, as well as increased fuel efficiency. Certified carriers meet voluntary equipment specifications that can reduce fuel consumption by 10 to 20 percentsaving as many as 4,000 gallons of diesel fuel per year.

This is a significant achievement for Georgia Gulf and the Compound division, said William H. Doherty, vice president PVC Compounds. We believe we have a responsibility to the communities we serve, and remain committed not only to maintaining our sustainable business practices but also to improving them in the years to come.
