NEW YORK, Oct. 11, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Reportlinker.com announces that a new market research report is available in its catalogue:
World Lighting Fixtures Market, Freedonia
http://www.reportlinker.com/p01008678/World-Lighting-Fixtures-Market-Freedonia.html#utm_source=prnewswire&utm_medium=pr&utm_campaign=Lighting_Equipment_Manufacturing
Global demand to rise 6.9% annually through 2016
Global demand for lighting fixtures is projected to climb 6.9 percent annually through 2016 to $153 billion. Product sales will be driven primarily by a strong global rebound in motor vehicle output and an acceleration in building construction activity. Efforts to conserve energy and convert to more efficient light source technologies will also boost gains, particularly as sales of incandescent and other less efficient lamps are being phased out through much of the world. Increased use of these higher-end fixtures will also contribute to gains in value terms. In the developing world, ongoing efforts to modernize the building stock, coupled with increasing urbanization and rising incomes will further aid advances.
China, US to post aboveaverage gains in demand
Through 2016, China alone will account for 36 percent of all additional demand, retaining its position as the largest lighting fixture market. The US, the second largest market, will also post above-average gains, itself accounting for 18 percent of additional global sales, as the country rebounds from a reduced 2011 base. However, sales gains are expected to be the fastest in India, a developing market for lighting fixtures. Above-average growth is also forecast in lower-volume markets such as Argentina, Brazil, Indonesia, Russia, South Africa, and Vietnam. Although increases will generally not be as robust, lighting fixture demand in established lighting fixture markets such as Western Europe and Japan will improve from reduced 2011 bases. The rate of growth through 2016 will be attributable in large part to a strong upturn in automotive industry production after a period of decline. Sales of lighting fixtures in developed areas will also be spurred by improving economic activity, leading to a pickup in consumer spending and recoveries in construction activity.
Nonportable indoor fixtures to record fastest growth
Nonportable indoor lighting fixtures will record the fastest gains of any major product segment through 2016, fueled by a recovery in residential construction spending and an acceleration in nonresidential building activity. Vehicular fixtures will expand at the next fastest rate, stimulated by increases in global motor vehicle production, including a recovery in key markets such as the US, Japan, and Western Europe, where vehicle output had declined sharply into 2011. Demand for portable lighting fixtures will be more moderate, partly because many newer light technologies are designed to fit most legacy portable fixtures.
Homes to pace dominant construction market

LED holiday lighting has recently been added to the companys online web store for festive indoor and outdoor decorating.
Chicago, IL (PRWEB) October 09, 2012
Like all LED light bulbs, LED holiday lights consume less energy than traditional holiday lights. Incandescent holiday lights typically use around five watts per bulb, equaling a total wattage of five times the number of bulbs per strand, whereas LED holiday lights only use around five watts for the entire strand. The LED holiday lights can operate for long hours using less energy, which allows customers to save money on their electric bills. Since households typically see an increase in electric bills around the holiday season due to the operation of holiday lights, the LED lights will help to eliminate some of those high costs. Households that use LED holiday lighting will also save money in replacement costs, as LED lights are more durable and will last significantly longer than traditional holiday lights.
Another advantage to using LED holiday lights is reducing or eliminating the risk of fire from Christmas trees. Once a Christmas tree is dry, it can become very flammable. The heat emitted from the lights can often cause the dry pine needles on the tree to catch on fire. LED Christmas lights emit very little heat, if any, allowing individuals to leave their Christmas tree lights on for long periods of time without worrying about fire hazards. LED holiday lights also reduce the risk of injuries since most contain a plastic exterior rather than glass. The reason plastic is used instead of glass is because of the very low heat output the LED lights produce.
Go Green LED Bulbs holiday lights collection has a huge variety of different options. Customers have the ability to choose exactly which type of bulb shape they prefer in any color. The bulb shapes offered include 5MM, C6, C7, C9, G12, and M5. Colors offered include all of the colors of the rainbow and many more. There are different types of whites individuals may choose from including warm white, neutral white, cool white and champagne colors. Some of the lights provided have the ability to blink, while some of them are color changing bulbs.
The company also offers strands of holiday lights for various lighting purposes. These lighting sets make for simple, energy-efficient decorating. The LED holiday net lighting can be placed on top of bushes and shrubs to create an evenly lit object in a fraction of the time of the strand lights. There are also net lighting sets to place around the trunks of trees that allow the lights to look even and professional. LED Icicle Lights can be hung from rooftops to make an elegant, wintery look. The icicle lights come in several different colors, as well as multi-colored for festive decorating. LED Cascading Tube Lights can be hung in large trees to give the illusion of snow fall, and come in a variety of sizes. Go Green LED Bulbs has gone a step further and offers lighting options for other holidays beyond Christmas, including LED Halloween lights, Mardi Gras, St. Patricks Day and more!

NAPLES, Fla., Oct. 3, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Viper Networks, Inc. (Pink Sheets:VPER), is pleased to announce that the Company has entered into an agreement with Sri Lanka's Ministry of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources to commence a short-term pilot program by installing about 100 LED indoor lights and approximately one dozen street lights near the Ministry's administration building as a small size, short trial test period.
The estimated 30 to 90 day pilot program has been agreed to as an initial requirement to confirm Viper Networks (and Apollo Metro Solutions) LED lighting electricity savings and ease of installation capabilities as it relates to potentially replacing all of Sri Lanka's eighteen (18) existing harbors and eleven (11) new harbors under construction with approximately 150 to 200 indoor lights and street lights for each location.
The largest of these new harbors being built is slated to open next month during November 2012, which along with all of the country's harbors, is under the supervision of Sri Lanka's Ministry of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources.
Shareholders and potential investors should note that this news release announcing the pilot project with one of Sri Lanka's Ministries is expected to be only the first of several separate agreements with different ministries in the country.
In addition to successfully concluding the pilot project agreement in person in Sri Lanka, the CEO of Viper Networks has also met with other key ministers and officials this week, including the Mayor of the Capital city of Colombo and the Ministry of Electricity; where talks were centered on Viper Networks and Apollo Metro's solicitation to provide LED street lights and other advanced lighting technologies for Sri Lanka's roads and highways.
The result of this meeting was immediate, as Sri Lanka officials have requested a detailed plan and proposal for the Company to provide various LED lighting solutions for three major cities in Sri Lanka, including Colombo, which is the largest city and metropolitan area with a population of approximately 1.5 million people (per the 2012 census).
And finally, Viper CEO Farid Shouekani is meeting with Sri Lanka's Ministry of Water Management since they have expressed a strong desire for an automatic meter reading system similar to the system Viper and Apollo are working on in the United States. In fact, the Water Management minister is scheduled to visit the U.S on October 16th for an official review of the live working system prior to signing an agreement.
The management of Viper Networks would like to extend their appreciation for everyone's patience and strongly encourage all shareholders to continue to follow corporate developments closely. The Company anticipates announcing further details on each aspect noted in today's news release and forthcoming updates regarding other positive developments in India and the USA.
Sri Lanka is a sizable island country covering over 25,000 square miles, which is located off the southern coast of India. Sri Lanka has one of the fasting growing economies in the world and an expanding population currently estimated at 20.3 million (2012 census). With a strategic location in the path of major sea routes, Sri Lanka has been known as 'The Pearl of the Indian Ocean.'
All LED product specifications and options and LED Lighting Systems and Intelligent Lighting Solutions are featured at http://www.ApolloMetro.com, which also provides PDF documents of product dimensions and sample configurations for downloading or printing.

SATELLITE BEACH, Fla., Oct. 2, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --Lighting Science Group (LSCG), one of the world's leading LED lighting companies, today announced its collaboration with the National Park Service (NPS) to open a "net zero" visitor center in Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area (SMMNRA), the first of its kind in the nearly 400 parks that make up the NPS system. Named for the congressman who introduced legislation to create SMMNRA in 1978, the Anthony C. Beilenson Visitor Center at the King Gillette Ranch is LEED Platinum Certified, produces all of its energy needs through a 94 kilowatt photovoltaic solar energy system and replaces traditional lighting options with Lighting Science Group's energy efficient and made-in-America LED technology.
"The beauty of this new visitor center is that it combines the old with the new to achieve the highest environmental standards," said park spokesperson, Kate Kuykendall. "In addition to the original architect'sextensive use of natural lighting, we're proud to use LED lighting technology to decrease the carbon footprint of the facility."
The 7,000 square foot Anthony C. Beilenson Visitor Center sits on the 588-acre King Gillette Ranch located at the intersection of five major tributaries. The ranch includes the 1928 mansion designed by Wallace Neff for razor magnate King C. Gillette with the visitor center itself once serving as the ranch's original horse stables. Now repurposed with stringent energy efficiency measures --such as Lighting Science Group's LED fixturesthe Beilenson Center achieved LEED Platinum certification. The American Reinvestment and Recovery Act provided $9.5 million in funding for the center's construction ensuring that all building materials including Lighting Science Group's PAR38 lamps are American-made.
"Lighting Science Group is proud to be part of this effort," said Keith Scott, Chief Commercial Officer at Lighting Science Group. "Our bulbs will only use half a Watt per square foot due to the energy efficiency of our LED's and the unique design of this building. In addition, these lights will run for years with no need for maintenance. The low cost of today's LED technology makes this type of conservation available to a range of applications. Imagine the conservational impact if all the NPS visitor centers followed King Gillette Ranch's example."
The new facility is open to the public, and an easy day-trip for those in Southern California with two-thirds of the park within Los Angeles County limits. It is open 7 days per week from 9 am -5 pm.
