Hopefully the 3 digital photography tricks and tips that you read below will help you in some way with lighting issues that you may encounter. 1. Lighting: Whether its film photography or digital photography, one very important thing to remember is that photography is all about capturing light. By knowing and remembering that different light will affect your pictures, you can change the way in which photographs turn out. The best source of light for any photographer is natural light while outdoors or strong fixed light from indoor lights. Indoor Lighting: Indoors you are not going to have the same amount of natural light than you get outdoors, unless you are in a well glassed open area. The GF2 meets my expectations for a small, simple, high quality camera with great still and video. I tried the E-PL2; took it back because iAuto mode produced warm yellow pics in indoor lighting. I tried the Nex5; took it back because the images were way too soft, my point-and-shoot took sharper pictures. Both the E-PL2 and Nex5 can produce good images if you mess with settings, but the GF2 in iAuto mode is simply better. White objects, such as an closet doors, actually come out white with the GF2. I know that sounds like a simple statement, but you would not believe the trouble other cameras have producing whites and light colors in low light. The E-PL2 and Nex5 have better noise quality at high ISO, but in general I found that I kept more of the pics using the GF2 especially the indoor shots. And by the way, when I test cameras I do not use tripods and fancy lighting, I just shoot real life situations. The touchscreen works OK, not great. Enough said. The video looks really nice. Not as good as a Hollywood HD movies, but better than most camcorders I have had. Warning, even though it uses AVCDH compression, the video files are still huge. Plan on killing a day editing clips and creating dvds if ...From:denese braunViews:0 0ratingsTime:00:57More inScience Technology

LightingShowroom and Quoizel Lighting are supplying the outdoor property lighting package for the Manakau Lodge, a new resort on the South Island of New Zealand. Rosemary Wickowski, CEO said,"We enjoyed this project. We ship into New Zealand fairly regularly but most jobs are for indoor lighting. This project was to light the grounds, particularly the drive into the resort and the main entry, so we had a chance to work with a more spacious area than usual." She added, "Quoizel was an excellent partner for this project. We had specific design goals and a tight delivery schedule and Quoizel responded to every need very professionally."
Boise, Idaho (PRWEB) November 14, 2012
Manakau Lodge is located near the coastal town of Kaikoura on the east coast of the South Island 180 KM north of Christchurch. The area was originally developed as a center for the whaling industry. The Kaikoura Peninsula extends into the sea south of the town and the resulting upwelling currents bring an abundance of marine life from the depths. The area is well known today for its sperm whale population and whale watching is a particularly well developed local industry. It is also one of the best reasonably accessible places in the world to see open ocean seabirds such as albatross, petrels and shearwaters, including the Hutton's shearwater which nests high in Kaikoura's mountains.
The town has a beautiful setting as the Seaward Kaikoura mountains, a branch of the Southern Alps, come nearly to the sea at this point on the coast. Because of this, there are many walking tracks up and through the mountains. A common one for tourists is the Mt. Fyffe track, which winds up Mt. Fyffe, and gives a panoramic view of the Kaikoura peninsula from the summit. The confluence of the snow capped peaks overlooking the south pacific provides a unique setting for the lodge as an elegant getaway for the traveler with a wide variety of local recreational activities.
Anita Turner, customer care manager, said "We really enjoyed this project because working with Quoizel is so easy and the job was an outdoor ambiance and property safety project rather than our typical indoor lighting project. The major challenge was a tight delivery schedule but it all went very smoothly."
Wickowski commented, "We represent most of the major lighting manufacturers domestically and have done international jobs for many of them. They frequently just forward international inquiries to us and we take care of them from quote to delivery. This is great for US based companies as they don't have to educate their marketing and support staff about international trade." Wickowski said, "LightingShowroom is one of the top online retailers of lighting products in the US and has been serving a growing domestic and international clientele. We focus on meeting the customer's needs and supporting high end domestic and international projects."
Wickowski explained, "The foundation of our business is customer care. We offer good value in our pricing, but attention to detail, meeting the customer needs, and working hard to anticipate and prevent problems is really what we are about. Value is the combination of quality products, fair pricing, and best in class customer care. Those are the things we work on all the time. We have found that our focus on the entire customer experience brings us loyal repeat customers and great word of mouth support.

LONDON, Nov. 14,2012 /PRNewswire/ --Low penetration in indoor lighting applications has, so far, been a bane for the light emitting diode (LED) market. However, improving technology and supportive legislation are set to push residential buildings the largest lighting application sector into adopting LED technology for their lighting needs.
New analysis from Frost & Sullivan (http://www.buildingtechnologies.frost.com) World LED Lighting Markets (2012 Update), finds that the market earned revenues of $3,573.5 million in 2011 and estimates this to reach $23,242.7 million by 2018.
"The LED lighting market is being driven by legislation that will essentially phase out incandescent lighting and other inefficient lighting technologies," noted Frost & Sullivan Industry Analyst Hammam Ahmed. "This will effectively narrow the competition for LED lighting. Declining LED prices will further boost the demand for, and penetration of, LED across multiple lighting applications."
The European Union has been among the first to adopt legislation supporting the withdrawal and ban on the production and sale of incandescent lighting. Although such legislation will be implemented in multiple phases, it has already begun to have an impact on the demand side.
Similar policies have been adopted and, in some cases, implemented in countries like the United States, Switzerland, Canada and Australia. In Asia, Japan, China, Taiwan and Korea are also adopting supportive legislation, with some of these countries even offering financial incentives to consumers and manufacturers.
Pricing and technology have been the key factors limiting the penetration of LED in general lighting. However, sharp and continued declines in prices, are expected to help LEDs achieve price parity with other lighting technologies by the turn of the decade.
However, while prices are declining, it is important for manufacturers to provide better value for money. This implies that the lumens per dollar ratio needs to improve.
"R&D in this respect has been a priority for manufacturers, and improvements are being made in brightness, design and quality of components to overcome this challenge," stated Hammam. "It remains to be seen how customers receive these new product developments."
Manufacturers will also need to address the pricing pressure that has developed over the last year to make sustainable, long-term growth plans.
"Participants from Eastern Asia, who have the ability to compete on prices, need to address quality issues to expand into the more developed markets of North America and Europe," concluded Hammam. "Leading market participants, on the other hand, need to offer high quality products and explore avenues for reducing cost of production."

16x42 Compact - Video
DETROIT, Nov. 12, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Viper Networks, Inc. (Pink Sheets:VPER), is pleased to announce that the Company has received cash funds to help expedite delivery and cover all parts and manufacturing cost associated with the Company's manufacturing partner Apollo Metro Solutions, as it relates to the two pilot programs slated to start in Sri Lanka next month; including LED Street Lights for Colombo, Sri Lanka and LED Street lights and Indoor lighting for the country's Ministry of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources.
This announcement also reflects an extraordinary development for Viper Networks, since establishing a reliable source for funding potentially scores of pilot projects and their manufacturing costs, essentially ensures minimum production guarantees and locks in a near equal split of profits with Apollo Metro on all business stemming from these two Sri Lanka projects and any other pilot programs, orders and agreements that the Company directly secures with private companies or local, state/province and national level government entities worldwide.
In regards to other agreements or projects that Viper Networks management is working on, the Company is in the final stages of LED Street light project engagement terms with a local partner and government representatives from one of Western Asia's wealthiest countries or States, which may be officially announced later this week.
Further, the Company's CEO is slated to travel to Bahrain the week of December 2nd, to personally deliver and present an Advanced LED Lighting product demonstration with motion sensor-equipped streetlights option upgrade with wireless network used for control, monitoring and Smart Grid applications, in anticipation of securing yet another pilot project client and potentially significant business throughout the country's cities and infrastructure.
Specific to this funding announcement, the Company has received cash funds in the amount of $50,000 from a closely-aligned, highly regarded individual alliance based in the Middle East. As an established, long-term investor in Viper Networks, the party has agreed to favorable terms for the Company with an annual renewable note option payable at twelve percent interest or in restricted 144 stock, which will not be available for conversion into free trading, common VPER shares for at least twelve months after the issuance date of any such certificate with a restricted legend.
Viper Networks could very well pay back or close out the outstanding loan with a lump sum payment from proceeds received after pilot project completion; and the anticipated expanded roll-out orders expected shortly thereafter. Since each pilot project may feature unique differences in terms and conditions, the Company may articulate such specifics as each program unfolds, certainly as it relates to financing and other financial accounts receivable and accounts payable filing information.
Viper Networks is actively working to secure major LED commercial orders in both the private and public sectors, including numerous government municipalities in the U.S. and abroad.
The Company believes that the North American and worldwide markets for energy saving streetlights and parking lot lights provides a tremendous opportunity for a new generation of LED lighting, especially those products that are manufactured to a much higher level of quality in the United States.
Please note the Company is displaying a 'temporary' corporate site at http://www.vipernetworks.com.
