Blue Springs HVAC Company Offers Spring Cleaning Checklist for Healthy Indoor Air - May 2, 2014 by Mr HomeBuilder

Blue Springs, Missouri (PRWEB) April 30, 2014

The end of winter brings not only warmer temperatures and renewed energy, but also the grand tradition of spring cleaning. While many Missouri residents may think their homes are spotless after some dusting and polishing, one HVAC company suggests indoor air is dirty, unsafe, and rarely cleaned. Apex Heating & Air Conditioning provides AC repair in Blue Springs MO and offers the following spring cleaning tips to residents looking to clean their homes from the inside out.

    Replace filters

The start of a new season demands filters be replaced and most filter manufacturers suggest replacement every month to ensure the air being circulated in the home is clean.

    Dust properly

By dusting with a wet cloth or microfibers, dust, dander, allergens, and other toxins are picked up and cleaned away with little residue. A dry duster leaves too much behind to be considered healthy.

    Seal windows and doors

Inspect all entry points of the home and check for leaks and cracks. All doors and windows should be closed during high pollen days and during allergy season for those with respiratory issues.

    Inspect air conditioning equipment

The responsibility of an air conditioner is spreading air of a desired temperature throughout the home. If problems are suspected, an HVAC professional can make improvements that will positively affect indoor air quality.

Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) April 28, 2014

Atlanta residential air conditioning repair company Bardi Heating, Cooling and Plumbing recently announced that it is now an authorized provider of the Georgia Power Home Energy Improvement Program. In addition, Bardi is an official partner of Nobis Works, a non-profit in Georgia that provides job training and assistance to persons with disabilities. Bardi provides complimentary pickups of electronics devices on all service calls. The items are then donated to Reworx, Nobis Works electronic recycling program, for recycling.

To fulfill the requirements of the Georgia Power Home Energy Improvement Program, Bardi has an employee on staff who holds a certification from the Building Performance Institute (BPI) and is authorized to perform an energy audit on homes in the metro Atlanta area. The audit program is sponsored by Georgia Power and is a full assessment of all electrical appliances and devices in the home to determine energy usage and efficiency. Repairs or upgrades completed by Bardi can reduce energy consumption by 10-30% which then translate into rebates and additional savings provided by Georgia Power.

As an authorized provider, the repairs that Bardi technicians perform will be categorized as part of the Home Energy Improvement Program which qualifies homeowners to receive additional discounts, rebates or savings in exchange for reducing energy consumption and upgrading their homes technology.

Bardi provides insulating services, solar panel installation, the latest and most efficient home heating and cooling technology, and additional upgrades including digital and programmable thermostats, zoning systems and energy-efficient light bulbs to improve efficiency and reduce both energy consumption and costs.

Alex Bardi, President and CEO of Bardi Heating, Cooling and Plumbing, serves on the board of directors of Nobis Works. Reworx was launched in 2009.
