PHOENIX -- Phoenix police are asking for the public's help in identifying possible victims of a handyman suspected of installing cameras and recording people in various states of undress.
Detectives began investigating Matthew Singer, 42, in March for allegations of child/sexual abuse, according to Sgt. Jonathan Howard. He currently is in custody.
Howard said during the investigation, detectives discovered evidence of additional crimes possibly committed by Singer involving victims who have yet to be identified and likely are unaware of their involvement.
Singer is employed as a local handyman and has worked on several remodel and renovation projects, according to Howard. Investigators believe Singer installed concealed cameras during his work and has recorded multiple victims in various states of undress, apparently without their knowledge or consent.
Investigators reportedly found more than 50 videos inside his northwest Phoenix home, which he apparently shares with his wife and her children.
"It makes me very ill that someone like that is in our neighborhood," one neighbor said.

The market for online and mobile cleaning and home repair booking services is taking off and Handy is set to announce some big numbers.
Two years after its launch, Handy has hit over $1 million in bookings per week. Weve gone from about $3 million in run rate to $52 million in run rate, says chief operating officer, Umang Dua.
For Hanrahan and Dua, the new on-demand service economy offers a better model for both consumers and service professionals. With the companys new mobile app, Hanrahan says our cleaners say its like an ATM machine in your pocket.
For most cleaning professionals on Handy, the hourly wage is between $15 and $22 per hour, averaging around $18 per hour. It gives you the ability to pick your own hours and it gives you a healthy hourly wage, Hanrahan says.
The revenue numbers come as both Handy and Homejoy have taken steps in recent months to re-define their businesses through new branding and new apps for mobile devices (respectively).
Increasingly, consumers are getting comfortable with the idea of booking services through their mobile phone and with mandated background checks on both the national and county level followed by an onboarding process, Handy service professionals are thoroughly vetted.
We think the Handy platform will be a remote control for your home. We want to gt to a place where well roll out all of those service categories in an instant book kind of way, says Hanrahan.
Both Handy and Homejoy see themselves as providing services beyond just home cleaning, but for Handy at least, the bulk of the companys ballooning revenue is still coming from housecleaning. In fact, roughly 85% of the companys money comes from cleaning, with the remaining 15% split between handyman services and a small number of plumbing services, according to Hanrahan.
Handy is currently in 25 cities in the U.S., two in Canada, and offering services in London. Weve had over 200,000 applications to the site for potential cleaners and handymen, and has over 5,000 active professionals who complete at least one job in a month.

Q. We bought a small wood-burning stove and had it installed in our family room with pipes coming out the top and running up to the roof. This was more than 10 years ago. About five years ago, my husband thought the stove was not big enough and bought a larger one to replace it that had its own pipes. The old stove and the pipes have been sitting in our basement ever since. The other day, my son mentioned that maybe he could take the old stove and install it in his fireplace. Is this something that can be done by a DIYer? What does he have to do to prepare?
A. There are two important rules concerning wood-burning stoves, whether they are freestanding or in a fireplace: 1. They need stainless-steel chimneys, or when inside a fireplace, a stainless-steel flue liner. 2. When a chimney or flue liner goes through a ceiling into the attic, out through the roof, it must be fully insulated against fire.
Also, a freestanding stove should be at least 3 feet away from a standard exterior or interior wall. If the stove is closer, it must have an asbestos or other heat-proof barrier between it and the wall.
Your son can install such a stove in the house, but I suggest he consult a heating expert.
According to the state Department of Fire Services: A building permit must be obtained prior to the installation of fireplaces, wood, or coal burning stoves. They must be inspected by the local building inspector prior to their initial use as required by the Massachusetts State Building Code.
