Alfonso Soriano the greatest Washington National of all time has announced he lost his love for baseball and is retiring.

Ive lost the love and passion to play the game, Soriano reportedly said in a radio interview this week in his native Dominican Republic. Right now, my family is the most important thing.

Now he can go back to the multi-million-dollar Florida mansion he bought earlier this year the 7,800-square-foot Mediterranean mansion, gated and guarded by lion statues and spend more time with his family.

You know, the home he bought from Washington Redskins president and general manager Bruce Allen.

Yes, under the category of small world no, make that the small bizarre world of Washington sports, Soriano paid $2.7 million for the mansion owned by Allen, who was the general manager for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers from 2004-08.

Allen and his wife, Kiersten, bought the home in 2004 for $2.72 million and listed it for sale in January at $2.99 million, according to the Tampa Bay Times. He wound up selling it for the same price he paid for it 10 years earlier, the Times reported.

Its quite the palace.

Located in what the Times described as Tampas ritzy Avila country club, the mansion has seven bedrooms, eight bathrooms, a library and billiards room, endless closets and a 4,000-bottle wine room the size of a small apartment, the sales listing showed.

Thats a lot of Thunderbird.

Our Oak Gazebos and Pavilions are complementary to the gardens of any property. Our frames are manufactured from carefully selected Oak from sustainable resources. The roof timbers can either be Oak or Pine. The ceiling can be exposed tiles, felt, panelling or even canvas.

We offer a choice of roof tiling including clay plain tiles, clay pan tiles, natural slate or cedar shingles. Some examples of uses are Outdoor Dining/Lounging, Day and Night Entertaining, Hot Tub Enclosure, Music Pavilion, Summer Office, Outdoor Gym and Garden Shelter, Wine Cellar Enclosure.

CFLane, the apartment management subsidiary of CFI, will manage the community, which was 96 percent leased when the transaction closed last Friday.
