Harrogate Flooring Co. Ltd. [t/as Justwood Flooring] carry a comprehensive stock of premium quality, solid oak hardwood flooring and engineered oak floors at its modern warehouse facility near York. The hardwood used in all Harrogate Flooring Co. Ltds hardwood flooring, walnut flooring, traditional oak floorboards and engineered oak flooring originates from temperate hardwood forests throughout North America, Europe, Russia and also in forests and woodland further afield.
Selected sawn hardwood (Oak floors and Walnut floors), following a considerable period of natural, gentle air drying, is kiln dried to an average moisture content of around 10 per cent relative humidity. The hardwood is then, in the case of solid wood flooring, precision machined to a robust tongue and groove section and has its ends precision cross cut and matched, to the same profile, thus providing a precise fit both from edge to edge and from end to end. In the case of engineered wooden flooring, precisely sawn hardwood veneers (of 6mm or 2.5mm thickness, depending on the range of floor boards being manufactured) are carefully kiln dried and bonded to a premium quality plywood backing, normally manufactured from Birch or from a combination of Birch, Poplar and Eucalyptus wood plys. The engineered oak floorboards are then precision machined to a tongue and groove section with precisely matching ends, being profiled with a tenoner, using the exact same machine tooling. The precision machined oak floor boards are machine sanded (wire brushed if appropriate) then processed through state of the art finishing lines, to a variety of beautiful aesthetic finishes (having been smoked/fumed/distressed where appropriate.)

COBA Flooring has introduced a smart collection of new generation luxury vinyl floor tiles to its range. Patented Tough-Lock Naturals have the appearance of ceramic tiles, but feature all the benefits (and more) of traditional vinyl, starting with ease and speed of installation.
The vinyl tiles have a rather nifty interlocking system that is totally concealed once installed, thereby looking like any other ceramic/terrazzo tile. This is made all the more authentic with the use of co-ordinating grouting. A finishing profile for neat edging is available for laid to surface installations. The tiles are simply loose laid to the floor and do not require any adhesive. Little or no sub-floor preparation is required and they can even be installed over existing floor coverings, as well as uneven or poor surfaces. This makes Tough-Lock Naturals ideal for installations, such as supermarkets or other retail outlets, where down time for floor refurbishment can involve temporary closure and in turn, loss of revenue.
Another benefit of Tough-Lock Naturals is, as the name suggests, their durability. These robust, dimensionally stable tiles with glass fibre reinforcement can withstand wheeled traffic up to 1,000kg making them suitable for heavy duty installations.
Away from the practicalities, Tough-Lock Naturals commercial flooring looks great too and gives a modern twist to all sorts of environments. Choose from Terrazzo, Clay, Rustic, Granite, Sandstone, Marble Grey and Volcano.
Each tile measures 450mm x 450mm (including 2mm grout edging). For further information, please contact COBA Flooring on 0116 240 1161 or visit http://www.cobaflooring.com

Have you longed for the luxury of heated flooring but resisted the urge because of the cost? Well, thanks to an inventor from West Warwick, R.I., there is now a less expensive option.
His idea, Radiant Cement Board, puts the warmth and comfort of heated floors right at your feet by providing an efficient way to heat flooring in cold weather. Furthermore, it saves installation time and effort over conventional procedures by eliminating several labor-intensive steps. Besides proving a new cost-effective alternative to more expensive installation methods, it also helps lower heating bills. Another advantage is that its simple design minimizes production costs. In addition, it is ideal for both residential and commercial use. A prototype is available.
The inventor's work experience in the floor-covering industry inspired the idea. "I recognized the need for a faster and more economical way to install heat in floors," he said. "This accessory will make the job easier for professional installers as well as individuals who prefer to do it themselves."
The original design was submitted to the Boston office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers. WORK on the $12 million Peak Hill MPS centre continues to make impressive progress with excitement building among staff.
Work on external brick work and cladding is almost complete, and internal painting, flooring and installation of fixtures and fittings is well underway.
Main works construction started in March this year, following the appointment of Zauner Constructions to complete the project.
The facility has been designed to provide flexible services to better respond to the health needs of the Peak Hill community and enable a more efficient delivery of those services through improved coordination of care.
Peak Hill Health Service Manager, Di Hutchins said anticipation amongst staff and the community is building as the MPS begins to come to life.
"Staff have shown great resilience and resourcefulness during the construction period and I am very appreciative of their patience during main works construction period.
"Seeing work progress at such an impressive pace has definitely kept us motivated. I am very much looking forward to the extra space and the improved workflow we'll all have once the MPS is complete," said Ms Hutchins.

The new Bear Creek Community Charter School construction project continues to be on time and on budget, the schools board of trustees heard Monday.
Their meeting opened with an update from the construction team. The flooring for the second level of the elementary section of the school has been poured, wall studding is going up and fireproofing is underway, the board was told. Construction is starting on the middle-school wing, and the steel for the gymnasium has been delivered.
In addition, a transition team is being formed to begin the process of moving from the existing building to the new one, school CEO Jim Smith said.
Also discussed was the installation of the new schools playground. A agreement was approved with The Playground Pros for the installation of the new play structure at a cost of $25,980, based on prevailing wages.
The board also discussed some strategies and options for divesting the existing school properties once all operations are moved into the new building.
The school and its foundation own a number of properties in the vicinity of the current school, including several homes, the existing school grounds and the former St. Christophers Church. The foundation plans to sell the properties once they are no longer needed and considered options for finding serious offers for the properties.
In other business, the board accepted the resignation of third-grade teacher Lisa Tomolonis-Sipler and approved the appointment of Mary Kasper as a long-term substitute for the same position for the remainder of the school year.

Liverpool marine flooring manufacturer Durastic has won a supply-and-installation deal on a new North Sea platform
Durastic, which has branches in Liverpool, Jarrow and Southampton, UK, will supply and lay its seamless, fire-retardant underlay and flooring products in the cellar deck of a new platform under construction for BPs 4.5bn Clair Ridge oilfield near the Shetland islands.
The platform is being built by Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) in South Korea.
Installation staff from Durastic will travel from the UK to HHIs offshore yard near Ulsan on South Koreas south-east coast. The team will include a project manager, underlay and top-surfacing specialists.
Durastic manager David Sinclair, who has overseen the project, said: This latest work comes after a previous order with HHI to supply products for the Clair Ridge platforms main module.
This new deal will, again, showcase the quality and value-for-money of Durastic products, and the very best of our workmanship.
The benefits of Durastic underlays and coverings are that they are seamless, light weight, lay in one coating and clean.
Meticulously manufactured and tested, the durability of flooring ensures expensive, disruptive and time-consuming maintenance is kept to a minimum, providing terrific value for money.
Furthermore, the quality of Durastic products means they meet A60 fire-retardant safety and certification standards set by maritime organisations across the world including Lloyds of London, IMO and American Coastguard.
The North Sea platforms cellar deck will be laid with 528 sq metres of Durastic lightweight underlay. This light underlay is used as a screed to prepare steel decking surfaces for a final top flooring surface. (See Notes to Editors, 2)
