Richard Yap and Kris Aquino portray a couple in the actor's "Promise Ain't Enough" music video. Star Music/Screengrab
MANILA - Kris Aquino will appear in two Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) entries this year, the actress-host revealed on Thursday.
Aside from the horror film "Feng Shui," which she top-bills with Coco Martin, Aquino said she will play a role in the other Star Cinema offering "The Amazing Praybeyt Benjamin."
The latter stars Vice Ganda, Richard Yap, Alex Gonzaga, and Aquino's son Bimby. Wenn Deramas, who is behind the original "Praybeyt Benjamin" in 2011, returns as director.
Aquino announced her part in the movie during the live episode of "Aquino & Abunda Tonight," where she and co-host Boy Abunda interviewed Yap.
"I'm your wife there!" she told Yap, who will play a general in the film.
"I'm the mom of Bimb. We had an affair. Inakit ko siya (Yap). Inakit ko 'yung heneral! Nagtagumpay ako and I'm bad. Ang saya!" Aquino said, laughing.
Aquino and Yap previously worked together in the music video of the actor's revival of Hall & Oates' "Promise Ain't Enough."
"The Amazing Praybeyt Benjamin" and "Feng Shui" will compete against six other movies in the main section of the MMFF -- "Shake, Rattle & Roll XV," "Kubot: The Aswang Chronicles 2," "Bonifacio," "English Only, Please," "Magnum Muslim .357," and "My Big Bossing."

How To Apply Feng Shui in Your Office - About
MANILA - A couple lost nearly half a million pesos in cash and jewelry to a fake feng shui expert who promised to rid their house of "bad spirits."
According to Carmela, she and her husband had long been hearing complaints about their house.
"May nagsabi na there's something wrong with your house. Pag me pupunta dito sinasabi bakit ang init-init ng bahay niya, ang bigat-bigat, so hindi namin pinapansin," she recalled.
"Every time na papasok ako, lumalaki ang ulo ko. Kinikilabutan ako. Nagkakasakit ang mga anak namin, sunod-sunod sila," she added.
One day, Carmela found the Instagram account of an alleged feng shui expert.
She called the feng shui expert "Celine" who told her to send pictures of her house.
"Sabi niya, 'Ma'am, meron kayo diyang kasama. Ang lakas ng negativity,'" Carmela recalled the feng shui expert as saying.
Carmela said Celine asked for P30,000 as fee to handle the feng shui inside their house.
She said Celine, a transgender, claimed there were three female spirits inside the house who were making their family sick.
Carmela said Celine placed lucky charms all over their house last August. Not content, the so-called expert also asked the couple to take out all their jewelry, wrap the jewelry in clothes that they usually wear and place these in three boxes inside the house.

MARTIN Escudero said he has high respect for his co-actor Coco Martin and hopes that he could be as successful as the "King of Teleseryes".
The two actors are currently working opposite each other in the upcoming Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) entry "Feng Shui," top billed by the Queen of All Media Kris Aquino.
Escudero said that from day one, Martin has been helpful and considerate not only with his co-stars, but also with the whole production staff.
"Deserving pala siya na maging ganun kalaking artista kasi napakabait at napaka down to earth niya. Bow ako sa taong iyon. Lahat inaasikaso niya. Kahit yung grupo ng art department, inaasikaso niya, pinapansin niya and kinakamusta niya. Makikita mo talaga yung kabutihan niya," he said during the opening of Outback Steakhouse in Bluebay Walk, Pasay City.
Escudero added that Martin does not hesitate to help his co-stars on the set. He said he learned a lot from the short time they work together.
"Sa mga eksena, tinutulungan niya ako and hindi lahat ng artista ay ganun dahil siyempre big star na siya diba. Bakit pa siya magpapakapagod na (turuan ako). Alam natin na magaling siya umarte and may karapatan talaga siya na magturo," Escudero added.
Escudero said he wants to be successful like Martin and even want to reach what the actor has achieved so far. Both Escudero and Martin started their showbiz careers via independent films.
"Hindi man sumikat na kasing sikat niya, at least magkaroon ng trabaho na tuloy tuloy. Pag artista ka naman na hoping ka talaga na maging successful kasi may work. Normal 'yun. Ang habol ko talaga ay makatrabaho ang mga magagaling. 'Yun na lang ang wish ko," he said.
Even though Escudero has big goals in his showbiz career, he knows that this entertainment business is not forever. That is why he is trying to look for other opportunities outside showbiz.

LOYOLA and Tomenio: Fiery memories made vivid by court ruling
MANILA, PhilippinesThe inward-swinging doors were supposed to be good feng shui to keep the money flowing in, thats why the owners had them built that way.
Nelson Tomenio and Gerald Loyola were referring to the main entrance of the now infamous Ozone Disco on Timog Avenue, Quezon City, which burned down while packed with partying customers on March 18, 1996. The inferno killed 162 peoplesouls who were trapped inside because of the doorsand left 93 injured.
This and other grim memories rose back to surface for the two men following the recent Sandiganbayan ruling that slapped a 10-year prison term on nine peopleseven city government personnel and two company executivesheld responsible for the tragedy.
After surviving the worst nightclub fire in history, Tomenio and Loyola, along with three other Ozone survivors, were later given jobs at City Hall under then Mayor Ismael Mathay. Both currently report to the Social Services Development Department.
They have since moved on with their second lives, but they still have the burn scars on their arms, hands and back, along with the chilling flashbacks.
As a former employee of the club, I really pin the blame on the owners. It would not have happened if they were not remiss in their responsibilities, said Loyola, 45, who worked as a waiter at Ozone.
For money to come in
Loyola said the clubs swing-in doors, the main the reason why the panicked patrons were trapped, were installed that way because the owners thought it to be good feng shui: It would bring the money in.
But if our city officials did their duty and had it checked, there would not have been a tragedy. There was corruption there, Loyola said.
