What is the art Feng Shui? Feng Shui is the science of being one with our environment, using manipulation of the energies that surround us and our living space to create harmony and balance. The first rule of good Feng Shui is to be in balance with our native landscape, its mountains, hills vegetation, waters, windandenergies.
Feng Shui is deeply imbedded in the ancient history of China and was then only accessible to the ruling elite of China. Now this practice is available to everybody and has crossed the great waters to theNewWorld.
Of course the practice is more simplified now. The philosophy of Feng Shui is based on the trinity of luck that influences the quality of a persons life. This is Tien Ti Ren, the luck from heaven, the luck from the Earth, and the luck that we createforourselves.
Heavens luck, or Karma, is your destiny and cannot be manipulated. Luck from the Earth is Feng Shui. If we can live in harmony and balance with our environment we will be rewarded with good fortune. Human luck is in what we create in the opportunities that come our way, and bring usbestresults.
Than there is Yin and Yang, Yin being the dark and passive, the female energy, Yang being the light and active, the male energy. Yin and Yang are the eternal union of heaven and Earth, whose breathisChi.
In Feng Shui, a balance of Yin and Yeng is optimal, an unbalance is bad Chi, or the killing breath. Yin and Yang are never steady as they interact, they change, like the seasons, the sun rises and the moon goes down, day becomes night, winter follows summer, anever-endingcycle.

Aquino is a town and comune in the province of Frosinone, in the Lazio region of Italy, 12km northwest of Cassino.
The ancient Aquinum was a municipium in the time of Cicero, and made a colony by the Triumviri. It was crossed by the Via Latina.
Aquinum is thought to be the birthplace of the poet Juvenal, and was that of the emperor Pescennius Niger.
The earliest recorded Catholic Bishop of Aquino was Bishop Giovino in 593AD.
Aquino's patron saint is San Costanzo, or St. Constantius (different from St. Constantius of Perugia).
St. Thomas Aquinas was born in 1225 in the castle of Roccasecca, 8kilometres northwards.
One of the gates through which the Via Latina passed, now called Porta S. Lorenzo, is still well preserved, and there are remains within the walls (portions of which, built of large blocks of limestone, still remain) of two (so called) temples, a basilica and an amphitheatre.
Outside, on the south is a well-preserved triumphal arch with composite capitals, and close to it the basilica of Santa Maria Libera, a 9th century building in the Romanesque style erected over the remains of an ancient temple of Hercules Liberator, now roofless. Several Roman inscriptions are built into it, and many others that have been found indicate the ancient importance of the place, which, though it does not appear in early history, is vouched for by Cicero and Strabo.

You may not believe this but it is true. The lucky bamboo plant, a popular feng shui cure used to bring health and happiness, could be a source of trouble.
The civic health department has warned that such feng shui artefacts are potential breeding spots for mosquitoes that spread malaria and it is appealing to people to remove them from homes and offices in its clean-up campaign ahead of the monsoon.
The ward-level awareness campaign is being conducted through meetings at housing societies as well as corporate offices, to educate people on measures to prevent the spread of malaria that has taken a serious toll in recent years.
"Our health officers have been holding workshops to spread awareness on curbing malaria cases in the city. During our neighbourhood visits we have found many people using these bamboo plants at home and in the office that are potential breeding spots for mosquitoes. We appeal to them to remove them," said Dr Arun Bamne, executive health officer.
Since January, there have been 1,622 cases of malaria with three deaths suspected due to the disease. In April, there were 22 cases. Yet, doctors say that these are sporadic instances and nothing to be too worried about.
Dr Hemant Gupta, consultant physician at Bombay Hospital, said most of the cases at the institution were marked by high-grade fever, headache, dehydration and fatigue.
"Cases of malaria and dengue that usually happened only during the monsoon are now seen throughout the year. The BMC should undertake fogging regularly at water-logged construction sites, as construction work goes on all the year round," Dr Gupta said.
Malaria is a mosquito-borne disease caused by a parasite and can be fatal. The symptoms include high fever, shivering that's more severe than when one catches the flu.
