Kan gua is in command during this period.
I wrote in 2002 that among other things, kan gua would bring prosperity to northeastern areas - especially China and Korea.
I would like to focus on South Korea.
Since 2004, the Koreans have been unstoppable.
We have Wonder Girls, Gangnam Style, K-pop bands and others taking the entertainment world by storm.
Brands such as Samsung and LG are big names in the global marketplace.
This is because feng shui is at work here, and the luck cycle is with the Koreans.
Most of us may not understand Korean, but we listen to their music and watch their movies!
This leads us to examine another aspect of feng shui in specifically the northeastern part of South Korea.

ABC Agents and developers are specifically marketing to the Chinese market.
Chinese investment in Australian property continues to boom, so much so that developers are increasingly incorporating traditional folklore into their designs.
Several buildings in Sydney, Melbourne and Perth are now being designed specifically with the Asian buyer in mind.
"At the moment a lot of the Chinese nationals are seeking a potential new lifestyle down the track or an investment in a neighbouring and nearby country where there's safety and capital growth," said John McGrath, the chief executive of McGrath Estate Agents.
Last year, an estimated 18 per cent of Sydney and Melbourne off-the-plan sales went to Chinese buyers, prompting McGrath to launch a Chinese language brochure and a specific 'China desk'.
However, smart developers are also getting in on the act and changing the way they build, often incorporating feng shui and Chinese folklore principles into their designs.
"In some instances, we've actually had Feng Shui masters look at the plans so we can ensure that they really comply with people's expectations around Feng Shui," explained Phillip Rossington, principal with BVN Donovan Hill.
Australian architect BVN Donovan Hill has been on a fast learning curve after it won an international competition to design Australia's biggest residential tower, 'Greenland', for a Chinese developer.
"We quickly did the development application because we've learnt from our Chinese clients they like to do things very quickly, and they're used to things happening quickly in China," Mr Rossington said.
Weekly consultations brought constant tweaks aimed at appealing directly to the Chinese investor.

Xishuipo is a Neolithic site in Puyang, Henan province associated with the Yangshao culture. The site was excavated in 1987 and 1988, and 186 burials were discovered. From then, China's fate as an earth power started to be recognized.
In one of the burials, tomb M45, is the body of a tall adult male. He is flanked by two mosaics formed from white clamshells - a tiger to his left and a dragon to his right. Clamshell mosaics were also found in two nearby caches. The burial was accompanied by the bodies of three young children.
Some archaeologists think the man was a shaman, but, according to Lao Tzu, this was the tomb of Huang Di - the Yellow Emperor - despite many believing it belonged to Fuxi.
This extraordinary archaeological find is a vivid example of a feng shui setting. The tomb's orientation and grave are examples of traditional knowledge of cosmological interactions with human beings on Earth.
The grave is aligned with the man's feet to the north and head to the south (an example of mirror reflection of cosmic stars). With a dragon to his east, a tiger to his west, these cardinal directions associated with the dragon and tiger are precisely the same as the correlative cosmology of some 3,000 years later! Cerulean Dragon to the east is the constellation com
A mosaic that was found in the north has been taken to represent the Northern Dipper. Some see this as the map of the heavens, some see tomb M45 as an actual sky map! Such orientation is well-documented with conventional cosmological corrections of the late first millennium BC. Remember, this grave is more than 6,500 years old!
Since the discovery of this tomb China's economy has been on the rise. Feng shui is at work here. Nevertheless, if China wants to keep developing and sustain the level of achievement, a humane side of creating values and virtues is indeed needed.
The Yellow Emperor is one of the legendary Chinese sovereigns and culture heroes included among the Three Sovereigns and Five Emperors. Tradition holds that Huang Di reigned from 2697 BC to 2597 BC. The Yellow Emperor is regarded as the initiator of Chinese civilization and the ancestor of all Huaxia Chinese.
Yes, if you are Chinese, he is your ancestor! Thought of the day: Ultimately, it's the Tao that matters and not the teachings - Lao Tzu

Hyderabad, India Satish Gottipati may be fed up with all the official hoops he is having to jump through to get permission to build his new factory, but there is one procedure he would not skip: a consultation with his Hindu vastu adviser.
Vastu is similar to feng shui, setting out architectural principles that harmonize human dwellings with the laws of nature to ensure the prosperity of an enterprise.
One recent morning Mr. Gottipati drove his vastu consultant, G. Thimmaya Chowdary, into the countryside to inspect the site of his proposed factory.
Mr. Chowdary a white-haired, bespectacled man in his 70s was dressed in a clean white dhoti and smock, with a large crimson and gold tilak dot on his forehead. He consulted a compass and began to consider the proposed building site. He perused the surveyors plans, asked a few questions, wandered around for a while, and then retired with Gottipati to the air-conditioned pre-fab building that houses the factory managers office for further discussion.
The planned factory was properly aligned north-south, it seemed, but Chowdary was concerned about the way the land sloped slightly. Not for any engineering reasons, but because the land sloped in an inauspicious direction.
Gottipati had been expecting this. When he built his first production line nearby three years ago, Chowdary had raised similar objections, and he had been forced to move a great deal of earth, at considerable cost, from one end of the building site to the other to create a suitable gradient.
It looked like he was going to have to do the same thing again. But there appeared to be limits to how far the businessman was ready to sacrifice economy for tradition. Chowdary was insisting that when the new shed was built, Gottipati should extend the access road around the far end of the complex to allow people to enter from the correct direction.
That would not be cheap. Would he follow the sages advice? Gottipati gave a noncommittal shake of his head. I told him yes, he said, but then.

Kris Aquino is now working on a sequel of Feng Shui, which was first released in cinemas a decade ago.
In the original movie, Kris's character obtains a bagua, an 8-sided mirror, that gives her good luck but brings death to people around her.
On her Instagram account last June 16, Kris posted a photo of the films script, which bears the name of Chito Roo and Roy Iglesias.
The TV host-actress provided the following caption: "My bedside reading: the script of FENG SHUI 2... 10 years after the 1st movie, it's time to continue the story & end the curse... I've missed you Lotus Feet!"
The script indicates that the first scene takes place inside a penthouse with twin sisters.
In an earlier interview with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal), Kris pointed out that she is thrilled to work with Coco Martin in Feng Shui 2.
Ang pinaka nakakakilig na part diyan, first time naming pagsasama sa movie ni Coco Martin.
This horror film is also one of the 13 entries being considered as an official entry of the 40th Metro Manila Film Fest.
(Read: 13 films submitted for consideration in MMFF 2014)
Feng Shui (2004) is the first in a string of horror movies that catapulted Kris to be dubbed as the "Box-office Horror Queen."

Terri Perrin, a certified feng shui consultant and author with Comox-based Fine Art of Intention Feng Shui, will be one of several presenters and exhibitors sharing wisdom at the Wellness Fair in the Gardens on Sunday, June 22, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Gardens on Anderton in Comox.
"There are many factors to consider when incorporating feng shui principles to your landscape and garden design," says Perrin. "But, before you grab your pruning sheers and garden spade, you first have to consider what your objectives are in making changes and enhancements to your outdoor living space. If, for example, you want more opportunities and increased wealth, the first thing to evaluate is the home's formal entrance. Front doors and pathways that are blocked by overgrown trees or shrubs restrict, rather than create, a path for welcoming and positive energy to come into your life."
Perrin adds that, in addition to making enhancements to your garden in an effort to facilitate life changes, it is imperative to set powerful intentions with every feng shui action. "If you don't have a specific intention in mind you are just gardening, not practicing feng shui," adds Perrin.
Wellness Fair visitors are invited to visit the Fine Art of Intention Feng Shui booth to ask questions and receive a free handout on how to set powerful and positive intentions. Terri Perrin will also be giving a 15-minute talk on Feng Shui for the Garden. The time of her presentation on the stage and a variety of other guest speakers will be posted at the event or you may call closer to the date for an exact time.
Perrin, an avid gardener herself, has been studying the influence of energy and the impact of design in home and work environments since 2006. She was certified as a Feng Shui Practitioner from Mount Royal University in Calgary, Alberta in 2008 and started her consulting business after moving to the Comox Valley in 2009.
The Wellness Fair in the Gardens is hosted by the IODE Laura Gordon Chapter in celebration of their 25 years of helping charitable organizations. In addition to having more than 30 health and wellness-related exhibitors, they have organized live entertainment, demonstrations, guest speakers and more. Complimentary cake and coffee will be provided and many exhibitors are giving out free samples. Tickets are $5 at the gate. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Anderton Therapeutic Garden Society to help fund the wheelchair accessible pathways around the Gardens on Anderton, (2012 Anderton Road, Comox).

Her moving on from a recent heartbreak may be gradual but Kris Aquino hopes to find new love eventually.
Keeping the faith, the Kapamilya host-actress revealed that she has been praying for a smart man to come her way, someone who can be her best friend, too.
Simple lang ang ipinagdarasal ko. Sabi ko, somebody talaga na pagkatapos ng araw ay masarap kakwentuhan. Kasi the day is so long, so masarap yung pag-uwi mo ay masarap na ka-kwentuhan at may opinion (I have a very simple prayer and that is to find somebody whom I can talk to at the end of the day. The day is so long thats why when you get home, its nice to have someone to talk with, someone who has opinion), Aquino shared during her show Kris TVs Tuesday episode.
She explained further, I want someone with a mind. Kasi kapag tumanda ka, ang gusto mo lang talaga eh yung masarap kakwentuhan (When you get older, you just want someone whos a good conversant).
Shying away when asked if she wants someone who has a sense of humor, a trait which many believe her supposed ex Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista has, Aquino answered, Basta smart, basta matalino and someone who can be your best friend. Lets move on baka may masabi pa ako (I just want someone who is smart, intelligent and someone who can be your best friend. Lets move on, I might say something else).
Prayers aside, what keeps Aquino going is work, and she, in fact, has started work on the sequel of the hit 2004 horror film Feng Shui.
Aquino took to Instagram on Monday to post a photo of the films script. Feng Shui 2 has been submitted for consideration as an entry to this years Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF).
Her caption read, My bedside reading: the script of FENG SHUI 2 10 years after the 1st movie, its time to continue the story & end the curse Ive missed you Lotus Feet!
It was reported earlier that Aquino will star with Ikaw Lamang actor Coco Martin in the Chito Roo-helmed horror flick.
The success of Feng Shui a decade ago earned Aquino the Box-office Horror Queen tag.

Why Kris is Coco's dream co-star -

MANILA - Coco Martin considers his upcoming film with Kris Aquino a dream project, calling the actress a "queen" in the genre they will tackle.
The "Ikaw Lamang" actor and Aquino will co-star in a sequel to the 2011 horror film "Feng Shui," which also starred the actress and went on to become one of the highest grossing local movies of all time.
The sequel, still under the direction of Chito Rono, has been submitted for consideration as one of the competing entries in this year's Metro Manila Film Festival.
Martin was asked about his involvement in the project Thursday on the sidelines of a thanksgiving party for his latest film "Maybe This Time," which has so far grossed P133 million.
"Ako kasi, sabi ko nga, isa sa mga pangarap ko na makatrabaho siya (Aquino). Siyempre, pag sinabi mong horror, ang unang-una sa akin... Siyempre, sino ba 'yung reyna diyan? Kumbaga kanino bang forte 'yan? Sabi ko talaga, si Ms. Kris Aquino," he said.
Owing to a string of successful horror films she top-billed -- "Sukob," "Dalaw," and "Segunda Mano," among others -- Aquino is dubbed local showbiz's "Queen of Horror Movies."
"Atsaka isa talaga ako sa mga fans ng 'Feng Shui' noon," Martin continued. "Lalung-lalo na, naalala ko nga, hindi ko siya mapanood mag-isa. Kaya kung makakagawa ako, sana magkaroon ng 'Feng Shui 2.'"
Relating how plans for a sequel came about, Martin said he candidly mentioned the idea to Aquino, who instantly got on board.
"Hindi naman totally ako nag-propose. Kumbaga, pangarap ko lang talaga. Gusto ko gumawa ng horror movie and naisip ko lang. And then noong nagkita kami, binanggit ko lang sa kanya," he said.
