Life as a cattle rancher, meat packer, trucker and US Air Force service man has helped shape this unique country artist. Haigh #39;s entertaining stories, taken straight from his colorful adventures, form the foundation of the traditional country songs on his debut album People Like Me. "I titled the album People Like Me because my music will appeal to those traditional country music fans?like me! My goal is to make true country music come alive in the modern age through my songs. My debut single and video, #39;All My Best Friends (Are Behind Bars), #39; is indicative of my approach to country music," states Haigh. Haigh was raised in Wessington, South Dakota (90 miles east of the state capitol of Pierre). The son of a rancher, his father gave him his first guitar at the age of four. What a long day! So we hacked over there at 11am and had to wait for FIVE hours before our class started! I had entered the 85cm but it was tiny so pulled out (Winnie has no respect for small fences) and just did the 1m which was definitely built up to height - I think practically everything was definitely one metre! After a disastrous first attempt where we had five fences down (bad jockey and winnie being just too keen) they let me + another girl from my yard have another go since we had to hack back and it was getting too dark to wait. HE CLEARED THE DOUBLES - which have ALWAYS been a problem for us! He began to get a bit fast and flat after that second double - I just didn #39;t collect him enough. Very happy with this round - things to work on but for our first 1metre class, especially when winnie is unfit, I am a cheesing girl!
