Work is to restart on a 5.4m housing and shopping complex in the centre of Barry which was halted for breeding seagulls.
Demolition of the magistrates court was suspended on 12 July to allow seagull chicks to fledge their nests on the roof.
A Vale of Glamorgan council ecologist's inspection concluded the young birds, while still visible on the building, are now capable of avoiding contractors.
Fifty two houses, flats and shops are being built on the site.
Gulls are a protected species and it is illegal to harm the birds, their nests, chicks or eggs.
We would also like to thank local residents for also monitoring the site for us and informing us of any seagull sightings
Security had been stepped up there during the past month while Aberdare Demolition, which began work in May, was prevented from going on to the site.
But the demolition work is to restart on Monday after the ecologist gave the all clear.
Newydd Housing Association chief executive Paul Roberts said: "We would like to to thank Aberdare Demolition for securing the site and monitoring the birds over the last few weeks whilst demolition was at a standstill.
