Located in Shinjuku, the building consists of a complex of three structures, each taking up a city block. The tallest and most prominent of the three is Tokyo Metropolitan Main building No.1, a tower 48 stories tall that splits into two sections at the 33rd floor. The building also has three levels below ground. The design of the building (which was meant to resemble a computer chip), by architect Kenzo Tange (and associates), has many symbolic touches, most notably the aforementioned split which re-creates the look of a Gothic cathedral. The other two buildings in the complex are the eight-story Tokyo Metropolitan Assembly Building (including one underground floor) and Tokyo Metropolitan Main Building No.2, which has 37 stories including three below ground. The two panoramic observation decks, one in each tower on floor 45 (202 meters [663 ft] high), are free of charge to the public and contain gift shops and cafes. They are open till 23:00 on weekdays. Use of cameras is permitted, but tripods are forbidden. Minecraft Enterprise NCC 1701D – Video -

Minecraft Enterprise NCC 1701D
I just wanted to make this so some people who couldn #39;t load my world, or not load it properly, or who didn #39;t play minecraft could see the model I built. This USS Enterprise is modeled after the one used in ST:TNG, the interior is not as big, it #39;s only 13 decks not 40-some but it does have some 186 rooms and that is only counting each crew quarters/suites as 1 room. It takes up a major portion of one big world and still loads w/o special memory hacks for most people. WoM or better required for the texture pack and flight (a must). Enjoy! From:Eric CainViews:0 0ratingsTime:04:32More inEntertainment

Burning Of SS Normandie ( USS Lafayette ) - 1942 Ocean Liner Fire Educational Documentary
SS Normandie fire at a New York pier. Background information courtesy en.wikipedia.org SS Normandie was an ocean liner built in Saint-Nazaire, France, for the French Line Compagnie Gnrale Transatlantique. She entered service in 1935 as the largest and fastest passenger ship afloat; she is still the most powerful steam turbo-electric-propelled passenger ship ever built. During World War II, Normandie was seized by US authorities at New York and renamed USS Lafayette. In 1942, the liner caught fire while being converted to a troopship. At 14:30 on 9 February 1942, sparks from a welding torch used by Clement Derrick ignited a stack of life vests filled with flammable kapok that had been stored in the first-class lounge. The woodwork had not yet been removed, and the fire spread rapidly. The ship had a very efficient fire protection system, but it had been disconnected during the conversion and its internal pumping system was deactivated. The New York City fire department #39;s hoses did not fit the ship #39;s French inlets. Before the fire department arrived, approximately 15 minutes after fire broke out, all onboard crew were using manual means in a vain attempt to stop the blaze. A strong northwesterly wind blowing over Lafayette #39;s port quarter swept the blaze forward, eventually involving the three upper decks of the ship within an hour of the start of the conflagration. Capt. Coman, along with Capt. Simmers, arrived about 15:25 to see his huge prospective command in flames. As ...From:Ella73TV2Views:0 1ratingsTime:03:21More inEducation
