The novel coronavirus pandemic has changed the way we shop. Items that were once commonplace such as soap and cleaning wipes are now nearly impossible to find at retailers like Amazon, Target and Walmart.
So if you've been wondering where to buy cleaning supplies online, you've landed on the right page. We're searching all reputable retailers for cleaning supplies from brands you recognize like Method, Dial, Clorox, Lysol and more.
A few things to keep in mind as you shop: Many stores are limiting the amount of product you can buy. (We've seen limits of two per person). Likewise, inventory is moving fast, so don't hesitate to buy something you see in stock. In the event that the product you're looking for does sell out, try another link or check back later in the day.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers plans to convert convention centers, arenas and a high school gym intoalternate care sites with makeshift hospital beds to handle the overflow of COVID-19 patients.
With the anticipated surge in COVID-19 cases, those are just a few of the building options public health officials are quickly weighing as they seek to create temporary patient care facilities to offload low-acuity patients from health system demand.
But what about the idea of convertinghotels to be used for COVID-19 patients?
Hotels represent an opportunity to leverage unused spaceforlow-acuity COVID-19 patients as travel and tourism dropped during the pandemic, according to Jason Schroer, principal and director of health at the Dallas branch of HKS, an architectural firm that designs hospitals, during a virtual event with theArmy Corps of Engineers this week.
Getting Ahead of the Curve: Insights from COVID-19s Frontlines
How is COVID-19 impacting HCPs and patients? Join Daniel S. Fitzgerald, InCrowd CEO & President and Philip Moyer, InCrowd VP of Crowd Operations, to review the key findings.
RELATED:Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan paying workers to join the front lines of COVID-19 pandemic
Full-service convention hotels providethe best opportunity to quickly create and support functional patient care spaces that will be needed if the virus spreads to predicted levels, according toaconcept studycreated by the architectural firm.
According to HKS' plan, here's how it could work:
Features already in the guest rooms can be used such as the television, a telephone that connects to a central station, Wi-Fi connectivity and a toilet/ shower room with a sink. For additional patient monitoring, off-the-shelf camera systems can be easily installed in the rooms. Hotel carpets also would need to be covered with "carpet protection tape thatcan be easily changed between patients.
"While this is not ideal for infection control it can help to reduce the incidence of contamination and spread due to fluid ejections and spills. And, it is achievable," HKS said in its concept study.
The hotel would need to be thoroughly cleaned and all carpet should be removed and replaced before the hotel returns to standard operations, HKS architects said. The air exhaust and ventilation systems would need to be cleaned through pressure washing and other methods. In many cases, the hotel interior would need to be completely renovated.
The speed of conversion is key in any of these alternative sites.
The Army Corps of Engineers has assessed about 820 facilities as alternative care sites, with about half of those locations being arenas and the other half hotels and dormitories. They'veawarded contracts for 17 alternate care sites in New York, Michigan, Florida, California, Colorado, New Mexico, Illinois and Tennessee. Those sites will have atotal bed count of 15,500 beds.
State officials have shown a preference for converting arenas and convention centers as these facilities are typically owned by state and local governments, said George Lea, chief of military engineering at the Army Corp of Engineers.
RELATED:Industry VoicesHospitals are failing to effectively tap a valuable revenue resource amid COVID-19
With the right resources and team, a full-service convention hotel could be converted for patient care in10 to 14 days, according to the concept study.
But according to the Army Corp of Engineers, approved site adaptations must happen in as little as five days and at most two weeks to align with state projected virus peaks. The most high-profile project to date has been the conversion of New York City's 1.8 million-square-foot Jacob K. Javits Convention Center into an alternate care facility for more than 2,000 patients. The corps was able to complete the project in about a week.
"It does save time in the process, as far as negotiations. We dont have the luxury of time. Our timeline is about fivedays," he said.
To date, only four contracts have been awarded to convert facilities classified as "hotels/dorms"to alternative care sites. But, so far, those facilities aren't actual hotels butinclude former hospitals and a center for intellectual and developmental disabilities.
But converted hotels could work well for convalescent care or even hospice care. They are also predominantly located in the population centers where the needs for COVID-19 treatment and sequestration may be higher and likely near major hospitals, according to the report.

We are towards the last leg of lockdown and most of us have cleaned all major corners of the house by now. But did any of you pay attention to your rugs or carpets yet? Rugs and carpets can elevate the look of any home easily and bring in that touch of glamour and grandeur to your home. It is important to keep your carpet clean to avoid any side effects. Well, you still have time to clean them and it is not a tough task.Carpets should be vacuumed regularly; blot spills should immediately be cleaned with a dry cotton cloth. The best way to maintain them is by keeping them away from moisture, getting it professionally cleaned regularly if stored; one has to keep it in a dry place. So, we got in touch with an expert Angelique Dhama who shared a few tips and hacks that can ensure that your rugs and carpets are clean and ready to shine for the season.Regular Vacuuming Wool is a natural dust repellent. A regular vacuum of at least twice a week helps keep the carpet clean. Loop carpets are more delicate and should be vacuumed without brush. In case any thread comes over the surface, do not pull it out. Cut it with a scissor.
Cleaning Stains In case of drop or spillage in a carpet, put a blotting paper immediately over it which will absorb it quickly. To minimize absorption into the pile, press the spot from the sides for maximum removal. On tough spots, try with an equal amount of white vinegar and water. Club soda is appropriately thinner for coffee stains and red wine; corn-starch for grease; the iron and transfer method for candle wax; otherwise, contact a professional.
Avoid dust, dirt and moistureWet carpet leads to mould and mildew growth. Further, wet wool starts rotting with bad odor. Ensure proper aeration of the rug periodically.

There are so many surfaces in your home that could be harboring germs.
The novel coronavirushas made all of us more cautious of surfaces we touch outside of our homes, like shopping carts and Amazon packages, and more aware of the germs we could bring into the house. Therefore, whenyou need to go out for groceries or other essentials, it's best to get in and out of the store as quickly as possible. When you get home, part of the best way to further minimize your exposure to the disease known as COVID-19is to sanitize and disinfect your house.
Washing your hands frequently is one of the best steps you can take, but the virus can still cling to surfaces you carry with you into your sanctuary, like your clothes, shoes, debit card and even your phone (here's how to disinfect your phone). Fortunately, the EPA has released a list of products that are considered effective at killing the virus.

Keep track of the coronavirus pandemic.
If you're worried you may have come in contact with someone who tested positive for the virus, or you just want to be extra cautious, you can use cleaning products like Clorox, Lysol, Microban, hydrogen peroxide and Maquat products to sanitize all the surfaces in your home. Make sure you focus on cleaning all the doorknobs, countertops and other high-traffic areas during your deep clean.
Here are five ways to keep your home sanitized from the coronavirus, and other areas and items you should disinfect, stat.
Think about the things you touch multiple times a day -- doorknobs, sinks, cabinet handles, refrigerator doors, remote controls -- and how many germs are lingering on those surfaces that you may not think about. Since home is where you're most relaxed, you may not be as militant about washing your hands in your own space as you are in public places.
To keep the germs at bay, use a disinfectant wipe, like Clorox Wipes, Lysol Wipes or Purell Wipes, to quickly sanitize those areas. Once or twice a day should do the trick to remove germs, but if someone in your house is sick, you may want to wipe down surfaces more frequently. After you wipe the area, let it air dry to give it time to kill any bacteria that could linger.
Read more:6 essential cold and flu products you need whether you're sick or not
For areas like your couch and carpet that can't be wiped down, you can use a disinfectant spray, like Lysol, to go after unseen germs. I suggest spraying in a sweeping motion to cover the entire surface, then let it completely dry before sitting down or walking on the surface.
You can also spray down countertops, mattresses and tables. If you're out of wipes, you can also aim your disinfecting spray into a paper towel to wipe down sink handles and other smaller surfaces.
Products like 409 cleaner are not on the EPA's approved list of products, so we suggest using products that come from the list, like Lysol spray, Clorox spray and Sani-Prime spray.

Your shoes step on a lot of gross stuff during the day and if you don't take them off when you come into the house, you could track in viruses and other germs. To clean the floors in your kitchen and bathroom, the CDC recommends using 1 cup of bleach mixed with 5 gallons of water to mop your floors.
The EPA list includes dilutable Maquat products that you can use to clean hard, nonporous areas, like glazed tile floors -- but you should avoid getting it on your grout.
Note that you'll need to use a different disinfectant for porous floors -- for example, if you use bleach on hardwood, it can remove the stain color. Instead, use a disinfecting wet mop cloth on your hardwood floors or combine half a cup of white vinegar and 1 gallon of water.
Hydrogen peroxide isn't only effective for whitening teeth -- in fact, the CDC says that 3% hydrogen peroxide was able to inactivate rhinovirus within eight minutes. When you pour the substance directly on surfaces like your sink, countertops or toilets, you'll need to let it soak for around 10 to 15 minutes. This will give it time to completely do its job. After you let it sit, scrub the area and then rinse with water.
It's also safe to clean your toothbrush with hydrogen peroxide since the bristles can harbor bacteria.
Disinfect your floors with bleach.
A new product released by Proctor and Gamble called Microban 24 claims to keep surfaces protected for 24 hours. The antibacterial cleaner comes in several forms, including a disinfectant spray, a bathroom cleaner and a multipurpose cleaner. Although it isn't on the EPA list, the company says that when it's used as directed as a disinfectant, it is effective against viruses, including the coronavirus.
If used every day, this can help prevent germs from living on surfaces in your home. A good method would be to start your morning off by sanitizing with the Microban 24 so that your house is protected all day.

While you're out, you're exposed to germs and viruses that can follow you back into your car. A good idea is to sanitize these parts on a daily basis: Car door handles and controls, keys or start button, steering wheel, gear shift, seats, all buttons and knobs on your dash, sun visor, anything touchscreen, the console and cup holders.
You can use disinfectant wipes on most surfaces, excluding any leather and touchscreens. There are specific wipes made for cleaning your car's leather. If your car has a touchscreen, you'll want to use a microfiber cloth to wipe it down (unless your manual says otherwise). For cloth seats, a spray like Lysol is considered effective when given time to dry.
If you've got a touchscreen in your car, clean it frequently.
As the world adjusts to the new reality of COVID-19 as a pandemic, we have more tips to help keep you protected. Here's how to avoid the coronavirus with these nine practical tips to limit exposure without isolating yourself, why you shouldn't make your own hand sanitizer and how to help keep the virus off your phone.

You have never spent so much time at home, and once you have exhausted Netflix, your eyes may alight on all the filth youve never noticed before. Have you ever dusted your ceiling? Of course you havent. But now is the time to do it, because you dont have anything better to do. Here are all the other jobs you were previously too busy to worry about, but which will provide a sense of achievement or at least a little exercise.
Easily the worst job in the house, but a gleaming oven will become one of your lifes new pleasures. Prevention is better than cure, says Gemma Bray, the creator of the Organised Mum Method. I swear by oven liners, which will catch everything at the bottom of the oven. You take it out and quickly rinse it under the tap. But before you can start using an oven liner you have to start off with a clean oven.
You can go for a heavy-duty oven cleaner, but many people are put off by the harsh chemicals these contain. Other people swear by using bicarbonate of soda in a paste, which I have never really had much success with, especially if you are battling a really grimy oven.
Bray takes out racks and leaves them to soak in a bath of very hot, soapy water. Washing-up liquid is one of the best things for tackling grease. Slowly, little and often, work on the bottom of the oven even in 15-minute slots. Wait until after you have used the oven, and it has cooled but is still warm. Use hot, soapy water and a cloth, and every time you use the oven go in there, go at it and eventually youll start to see a difference.
To clean a microwave, slice up a lemon and put it in a bowl of water. Put it in for five minutes at full power, says Lynsey Crombie, AKA the Queen of Clean and author of The Easy Life: Quick Ways to Clean and Manage Your Home All Year Round. Leave to cool for a while you dont want a face full of scalding steam then wipe with a cloth.
Take everything out and put it in a cool bag, says Aggie MacKenzie, the TV cleaning expert who runs AggiesTips.com. Have a sink full of hot, soapy water ready and wash all the shelves. Wipe the inside of the fridge with water and a microfibre cloth you dont really want to be introducing much in the way of products. The drip tray at the back can get clogged up, maybe with bits of labels from jars. Get a cotton bud, put some kitchen roll round it and dab in and out of the hole to keep it free-flowing.
If you can manage, pull the fridge out and clean behind it. Thats when you discover youve got mice, or youve had mice youll see droppings, says MacKenzie. Gently dust or vacuum the condenser coils at the back of the fridge.
An unsightly lavatory is bothersome, but easily forgotten after every flush. Tackle it once and for all. You need to remove some of the water first so as not to dilute the cleaning product too much, says Crombie. Scoop it out with rubber-gloved hands, or plunge it down the U-bend with a toilet brush. Put some limescale-removing product down there and leave overnight. Denture tablets or soda crystals will also work. But Crombie cautions: If you put it down and someone uses the toilet within half an hour, youre not giving it an opportunity to work. The reason I dont advise bleach is it doesnt break limescale down. It will look better, but in a few days it will come back.
I use a 50/50 ratio of white vinegar and water solution in an old spray bottle, says Bray. It helps to tackle the limescale and dirt. If youve got a clogged-up showerhead check first it wont damage the surface you can sit it in a white-vinegar solution. I try to use as few chemicals as possible in the house.
For the black mould spots around the silicone, get some tissue paper and soak it in a bleach solution. Your shower curtain can probably go in the washing machine check the label as can a non-slip bathmat. They can go a bit gunky underneath, but they come out like new.
Shop-bought window cleaning products or vinegar will work on the glass. If you have UPVC frames, use a cream cleaner or a damp sponge with bicarbonate of soda on, says Crombie. For wooden, painted windows, dry dust them then clean with an orange-oil-based product, to protect the wood. Dont forget to clean the handle just use what youve been using on the frame. Vacuum your curtains, and wipe blinds.
This is the time to be ruthless. Empty it out, says MacKenzie. Give the inside of the drawer a vacuum and a wipe with a damp cloth. Then only put back the things you use. If you think: I might need that one day, no, you wont because you havent used it in the last year. I used to have a dish full of keys and I never knew what they were for. One day I just threw them away. Did I come to any grief? No. Rehome items to the places they belong.
Remove whatever it is you are storing under your bed and clean off the dust (there will be a thick layer), then vacuum underneath. Its a good time to flip your mattress if it needs it, says Crombie. Give it a vacuum. If you have a steam cleaner, use this too. Hold the steamer 30cm away from the mattress people go too close and get the mattress wet and then they cant go to bed. Leave the window open so the mattress can dry. If you have stains on your mattress, a carpet-cleaning product should get them off.
She recommends a homemade fabric freshener: 20 teaspoons of bicarbonate of soda and 20 drops of lavender essential oil in a 500ml bottle of water. Just spritz it on. Pillows can usually be washed check the instructions.
Wallpaper, particularly if it hasraised patterns, can benefit from a vacuum. Gently go over it with a brush attachment, or with a dry microfibre cloth or paintbrush, says Crombie. If you have a flat-headed mop, use that to dry-dust your ceiling. While you are at it, use a brush (a clean paintbrush, or old makeup brush) to dust light fittings.
Although some paint is washable, Crombie says she wouldnt recommend it, but you can dry-dust. For marks, use a Magic Eraser or similar, or get a sponge and gently wipe. Dont forget doors, particularly those with dirt-attracting panels, and frames. I use warm soapy water, and dry it instantly with a clean dry microfibre cloth.
If you are spending a lot more time on the sofa, you may as well improve your environment. Give it a thorough vacuum, including in the crevices and under the seat pads. Get a damp microfibre cloth and gently rub at any stains, says MacKenzie. If you have ingrained dirt, borrow a steam cleaner. Check the labels of your cushion covers some can be washed. I wouldnt wash feathered cushion pads, but most are synthetic fibres so follow the washing instructions. Pull out the sofa and vacuum underneath. Behind it, youll see a massive layer of dust on the skirting board. Thats where a lot of dust mites are.
Finally, give your cleaning tools some attention. String mops give me the heebie-jeebies, says MacKenzie. A much better mop is a flat-headed one, with a cloth pad you take off after each time you wash your floor and stick in the washing machine. I wash my dustpan brush in the kitchen sink and dry it outside.
Show your vacuum cleaner some love. Many have washable filters; the brush head will probably be clogged with hair. Get a small pair of scissors and snip right down the middle [of the tightly rolled hair]. It takes a while but its terribly satisfying.
Bray uses a new dishcloth each day and saves them up until they can go in the washing machine on a hot wash. But she cautions against overdoing it. On her 100,000-strong Facebook group, a lot of them are prone to overcleaning. I always tell people just do what you need to do and dont feel you have to be cleaning all day, because otherwise it can turn into a bit of an unhealthy obsession.

I always thought that shampoo was just shampoo. Yes, some smell nicer than others, and some are packed with ingredients that will help the scalp, add gloss to dry ends or inject volume at the roots. But I honestly thought when it came to shampoo innovations, wed had our lot.
I was wrong. You see, the last time I visited my hairstylist,Larry King, he let me in on a little secret: he was about to change the way we use shampoo forever.
When you go to a salon, your hairstylist will probably use two different shampoos on you, and theyll change which ones they use every time you go in, he told me. So it makes no sense that youd use the same shampoo every time you wash your hair yourself at home.
His theory is that our shampoo-needs switch day to day. For instance, on a Sunday, we might want to completely strip back a weeks worth of pollution, grime and dry shampoo, but that level of cleanse might not be necessary on the next hair wash. Or, perhaps mid-week our hair looks as though it needs an injection of health like the hair equivalent of a green juice but then it might not need another dose until a week later. Of course, the combination of needs will change from hair type to hair type, too. Its all about finding your own wash cycle, he explains.
So it makes sense why he would call his new shampoo collection Wash Cycle, wouldnt it?
Wash Cycle is a collection of three hard-working shampoos which are suitable for every single hair type but each one has a different job. Where most haircare brands save the goodness for the conditioner step, King believes the shampoo plays a vital role in conditioning and replenishing the hair, so hes packed each one with an impressive list of ingredients.
Used in conjunction with each other, the idea is to work out which combination best suits your hair and lifestyle perhaps alternating between the detoxifying City Life shampoo and the nourishing Good Life shampoo will work best for your hair type, or maybe youll need all three formulas on a rotation to match your ever-changing needs.
Theres also a pretty incredible conditioner aptly named Liquid Hairbrush, and I cant quite get over how well it works more on that later.
Add to that, theyre all housed in sustainable glass bottles and theyre completely reusable: you can buy refills in aluminium tubes to top them up.
This is the man that brought my curly hair back from the brink Id trust him with my life but I knew to believe the hype, Id have to give this new shampoo system a go on my own hair. Heres my honest thoughts:
I know, you know: pollution and hard water are generally bad news for hair and scalp health, so once a week, its worth using a shampoo that will peel back these layers of grime. This shampoo contains vitamin E and zinc PCA to nurture the scalp as well as centella asiatica, which has antibacterial qualities. Its also excellent if youre a little heavy-handed with the dry shampoo. Plus, it smells like pine trees, and it left my scalp feeling as clean as one of those rugs on those weird carpet cleaning videos doing the rounds on Facebook right now.
Use it: On Sundays, to reset for the week.
This one is all about nourishing, hydrating and strengthening the hair and so it feels a little richer than the others, and contains biotin for fibre strength and vitamin B5 for a moisture injection. Its my favourite for days when my curls feel a little dry or crispy, but I avoid using it more than once a week, as it can make my hair feel too healthy. Yes, thats a thing.
Use it: Midweek, when hair needs perking up.
Rather than relying on texture spray or styling cream to add grip, volume and shine, this shampoo does it all for you. Hair doesnt feel as slippery and silky-clean as it might usually, but this helps any styling you do afterwards stay put. Ive really noticed a massive difference to the lifespan of my curls after using it, but its also brilliant for adding a little grittiness pre-straightening or tonging.
Use it: Friday morning, ready for the weekend.
I dont know how to put into words just how epic this product is, but I shall try.
Unlike other conditioners, theres none of that heavy butteriness, so it never weighs hair down or makes it go prematurely greasy. I guess Id liken it to a hair glaze that coats every strand in shine, but its real talent is that it draws out every last knot. Its crazy. My hair is matted 99% of the time, but I simply rinse this through it, and all the knots have gone no scalp pulling, no tears and no pain required. Ive not had to brush my hair in weeks. It is bloody MIRACULOUS.
Use it: With every hair wash.
So, Im officially a convert. I usually stick to nourishing shampoo formulas given that curly hair is so prone to dryness, but then I often find I over moisturise, and my curls go fluffy and limp. By changing my shampoo on the regular, Ive been able to keep my hair at that perfect middle ground between under-nourished and over-nourished, and quite frankly, my curls are thriving. Plus, given I use so much mousse and curl cream, a weekly detox shampoo is just what I need to stop my scalp from becoming clogged and itchy, and for that, I am truly thankful.
At around 40 a pop, theyre not cheap, especially when you consider the need to fork out for multiple formulas at once (although of course, itll take much longer for you to finish off each one). What I will say is that you only need the teeniest amount to build up a really satisfying lather and to properly cleanse the hair and scalp, so theyll likely last you ages. But if you like to invest in truly brilliant hair care, you cant go wrong with this range, I swear especially that Liquid Hairbrush.
