    Borderlands 2 – E-Tech snipers are too weak! – Video - November 3, 2012 by Mr HomeBuilder

Borderlands 2 - E-Tech snipers are too weak!
Please, Gearbox, FIX E-TECH SNIPERS!!! I was so happy to get this E-Tech Maliwan Sniper from a friend. I am on a TVHM playthrough, and there will be loads of loaders ahead, with a corrosive E-Tech sniper this should be awesome. I went to Opportunity and noticed that i killed enemies with the E-Tech sniper at the same speed as i killed them with my Vladof shock sniper. Shielded Battle architects actually dropped faster (because i dropped their shields faster, of course). So i went to the target dummy in Sanctuary. My E-Tech sniper scored a bit above 100k on a critical hit, fully loaded magazine. My Vladof fire sniper performed even better, due to the weakness of the dummy, 357k and above. However, my Vladof shock sniper easily scored above 200k, too. The E-Tech sniper didn #39;t perform nearly as good as this. It burns through my ammo, since it needs 2 ammo per shot, and the bullet ricochet is pretty useless, since Zeros Bore skill is far superior, and i like to line enemies up to drop many of them quickly. With 20 stacks of critical ascension, i was able to score a 200k hit. THIS IS A JOKE! I am now using a non-E-Tech pistol to drop armored enemies. The sniper is just too weak. The Chikamin Buffalo (quest reward from a later quest) is actually more powerful than all the other snipers i got so far.From:BlexstaViews:4 1ratingsTime:01:37More inAutos Vehicles

"The DNA of Cities" Huxley College of the Environment Speaker Series 10/19/12 – Video - November 3, 2012 by Mr HomeBuilder

"The DNA of Cities" Huxley College of the Environment Speaker Series 10/19/12
Author and educator AP Hurd presented "The DNA of Cities" as part of Western Washington University #39;s Huxley College of the Environment Speaker Series at 3 pm on Friday, Oct. 19, 2012 in Communications Facility Room 125 on the Western campus. How cities are evolving has been at the center of much conversation lately, and a lot of that conversation in the design world is deterministic in nature: "What should the end product look like?" Yet cities are a product of genetic and environmental factors, and they change over time. Perhaps our design focus should be less on the end product and more on thinking about cities as a design system. This talk will explore the impact of zoning, financial structures, energy prices, entrepreneurialism and architects on the emergent design of our cities. What are the levers for change, and how can individual people make a meaningful difference? In addition to her work at Touchstone Corporation, Hurd is a Runstad Fellow in the College of Built Environments at the University of Washington, where she teaches a graduate seminar on development economics. Her recent research has focused on environmental metrics for urban and regional policy in China and in the US She has worked on numerous environmental policy initiatives at the state and local level and recently published "The Carbon Efficient City" with the University of Washington Press. Hurd is a board member of NAIOP Washington, Forterra and Friends of the Seattle Waterfront. She has received ...From:wwuniversityViews:4 0ratingsTime:01:02:47More inEducation

AIA Retrospect 2011 The Beck Group – Video - November 3, 2012 by Mr HomeBuilder

AIA Retrospect 2011 The Beck Group
Retrospect is an annual event organized by the Dallas AIA and hosted by Northpark Center where local firms create exhibits that help connect the public with local architects and their projects. Beck #39;s entry this year was a sharply bent wall designed to hold three clear acrylic boxes. Inside the boxes were eight models of recent projects produced by our 3D printer. The wall cladding was reclaimed lumber- the rough side from a turn of the century building in Fort Worth, and the smooth side from the gym floor of a downtown church. http://www.beckgroup.comFrom:BeckGroupVideoViews:4 0ratingsTime:01:59More inPeople Blogs

The Beck Group - THR Prefab - Patient Room Headwalls
There are many differentiators that companies are marketing to keep ahead of their competition and we have been at the forefront on many of these initiatives. In the complex configuration of hospitals, Prefabrication has become synonymous to the construction of these facilities due to the many repetitive systems that are inherent to them. However, Prefabrication requires combined efforts from architects, engineers, contractors, subcontractors and owners. This group effort represents the working definition of the Integrated Project Delivery Model, a method that was fully implemented on the Texas Health Harris Methodist Alliance Hospital. This video shows how The Beck Group successfully prefabricated hospital patient room headwalls.From:BeckGroupVideoViews:2 0ratingsTime:01:32More inPeople Blogs
