Four months ago, Wisconsin native Laura Paulette decided she was tired of working for other cleaning companies and started her own Maid 2 Clean.

Ive worked for other companies for six years and I just love doing this. I decided I wanted to work for myself, so I joined the Pleasant Hill Chamber of Commerce and the rest is history, Paulette said.

She caters to her varied clients needs.

If someone wants something done a certain way, Im glad to oblige, she said. If someone just needs a one-time cleaning for a Christmas party or Thanksgiving dinner, Im glad to do it. In fact, the more detailed someones instructions for how they want things cleaned, the better. I like it when people are picky.

Paulette spoke with the Altoona Herald about her business.

Q: Who are your customers?

A: I do mostly commercial work, but also some residential. I work with a lot of the banks and offices in the area. If someone has a new job and cant stand how dirty the house is getting, then I can clean on a regular basis or if they need just a one-time cleaning, I can help.

Q: What do you offer?

A: Ill do anything and everything, from cleaning out tile and grout work to cleaning the windows, floors, surface areas, inside the microwaves, dusting, polishing and even carpet cleaning. If it can collect dust, I can clean it.

Q: What is your coverage area?
