SMALL BUSINESS SPOTLIGHT

Frank Jacobs career trajectory is a good example of how a part-time project can sometimes lead to a full-time opportunity.

Jacob, along with his wife Patricia Haddad, own PSH Cleaning Services, the company she started in 2002 with little more than a scrub brush and a keenness to become an entrepreneur. Over time, PSH the letters of which are Haddads initials grew into something more, an enterprise that specializes in cleaning and restoring hard surfaces as well as cleaning carpets and Oriental rugs.

Meanwhile, this year already is shaping up to be an eventful one for the company, which recently moved into a new facility at 5640 Summer Ave. The lease was up at the previous location, Jacob explains, but the company also needed more space due to its growing workload and to the growing number of referrals from interior designers and decorators.

And thats what it got with the new facility 4,300 square feet of space, versus 1,800 at the business previous location.

People would hear about us or wed get referrals from people whod been told that this company does a great job, Jacob said. People liked the way we took care of their friends and families, and that precipitated us needing more space.
