DEERFIELD Ever wonder if architects or designers have dabbled in fine arts like painting? Brushwood Gallery can answer that question starting Sunday.

The gallery, located in the historic Brushwood home at Ryerson Woods, 21850 N. Riverwoods Road, will host an exhibition by the Chicago art group everyOther, a collection of architects, designers and artists, through Aug. 30.

waterCOLOR skySCAPE will open with a reception from 1-3 p.m. on Sunday, July 14. The reception and exhibition are open to the public. Admission is free.

We keep a sharp eye out for all different kinds of perspectives for art relating to nature, said Sophie Mitchell, executive director of Friends of Ryerson Woods. After seeing some of this groups work, we invited them to have a group showing here.

Brushwood has already hosted the works of two members of everyOther, Phil Enquist, leader of the global city design practice at Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP, in 2009 and Cynthia Winter of Cynthia Winter Architects LLC in 2012.
