Donatelli Builders, Inc. Named National and Regional Winner in Prestigious 2013 Chrysalis Awards Competition

Donatelli Builders, Inc. today announces its win in the 2013 Chrysalis Awards for Remodeling Excellence competition. The Wheaton, Illinois-based custom home builder and remodeler entered in three categories and won in all three. Donatelli Builders, Inc. was named a national winner in the category of residential exterior over $100,000, and was also named as a regional winner in the whole-house remodel and regional specialty item categories.

Winning awards in multiple categories is difficult to do. Not only does this speak to Donatelli Builders versatility, but to its commitment to quality on every project, says Ken Kanline, Director of the Awards.

The prestigious Chrysalis Awards honor the finest remodeling projects in the country that reflect the professional excellence of the residential and commercial remodeling industry. The entries were judged on overall design, the creative use of space and materials, and the degree to which the project enhanced the original structure. The Chrysalis Awards are open to any professional remodeler and design professional in the United States.

The winning project was a dramatic whole-house renovation of a lake house for a family of four. The team at Donatelli Builders, Inc. revitalized the late 1970s-era lake house into a beautiful modern-day weekend residence. This was accomplished through the replacement of windows and siding, an addition of an exterior deck, enhancements to the interior floor plan, and replacement of many of the interior finishes including hardwood flooring, cable railings, new doors and moldings and electric and plumbing fixtures.
