Coming Up: Orange Countys Largest Mixer will take place at the OC Fair & Event Center from 5 to 9 p.m., March 18. The networking event is an opportunity for small to large companies to meet new clients as well as learn how area chambers of commerce and business organizations can help with growth. People on the move

Tom Honan was hired as vice president of information technology for Brea-based Evangelical Christian Credit Union. Honan, who most recently worked as chief information officer for Los Angeles-based CapitalSource, has 30 years of technology experience.

James Walker has been promoted to president of operations and development for Aliso Viejo-based Johnny Rockets. Walker previously worked as the chief development officer for the restaurant chain. Before joining Johnny Rockets, he was a chief data officer for Beef O Bradys and The Brass Tap.

Newport Beachs Back Bay Bistro has named Garrett Paul Gasperino as general manager. His duties include working with executive chef Bruno Massuger to update the menu and overseeing new programs, such as a garden where fresh ingredients will be grown for the restaurant. He was most recently manager of The French Bulldog Bistro in Camarillo.

New Ventures

San Diego-based Kombucha On Tap expanded into Orange County and started offering its fermented drinks at Urban Plates in Irvine, Melt Ladera Hot Yoga in Ladera Ranch and at Hansons Market in San Juan Capistrano. The business started in May, and the product was first offered in Orange County in Novemeber.

British interior designer Timothy Oulton celebrated the opening of his latest gallery installation inside HD Buttercup at South Coast Collection in Costa Mesa on Feb. 5. This is his third California location.

Orange-based Village Nurseries as well as San Jose-based Jensen Landscape Cos. teamed up to supply and design four Northern California landscape installations. The installation locations include Hall Winery in Calistoga, Blossom Cove in Pebble Beach, Levis Stadium green roof in Santa Clara and Stoneridge Creek Community in Pleasanton.
