Plumber allegedly molested young girls while on the job in Santa Ana

A 39-year-old Garden Grove man was behind bars Wednesday on suspicion of molesting two girls while working as a plumber and repairman.

Hai Truong Vo, who is also known as Joseph Vo, was arrested Tuesday by Santa Ana police and was being held in lieu of $100,000 bail in the Orange County Jail, according to Santa Ana police Cpl. Anthony Bertagna.

Vo is accused of molesting a 7-year-old girl in Westminster in 2011 and a 6-year-old girl in Santa Ana in 2013, Bertagna said.

Vo, who works as a heating/air conditioner repairman and plumber, gained access to the children after he was hired for repairs in the residences of both victims, Bertagna alleged.

Investigators had been looking for Vo since 2013, but he was difficult to track down because he moves around a great deal from Orange County and Vietnam, Bertagna said.

Authorities are concerned there may be more alleged victims and asked anyone with information pertaining to the case to call investigators at (714) 245-8351.
