Work has started on the construction of a multi-million pound office building at Winnersh Triangle.

The speculative development of Building 1030 will create more than 60,000 sq ft of Grade A office space.

Developers say the project is an indication of the growing confidence in the economy.

The new building is being delivered by the business parks new owner Patrizia in partnership with Wates construction and completion is scheduled for spring 2016.

Will Lawrie, asset manager for Patrizia, said: Its exciting to be taking the park forward into a fresh development phase that will continue the upgrading of the western end of the estate.

Building 1030 will be a fantastic addition to the wide range of buildings already at Winnersh Triangle and should be well placed to capture the growing demand from major international companies seeking a first-class business environment with excellent connectivity and amenities.

The 72-week build programme will see the creation of a four-storey building with 60,483 sq ft of office space.

It will be located at the western end of the 85-acre business park which has a range of office, industrial, research and development and data centre accommodation.

Peter Whitmore, business unit director at Wates Construction Southern Home Counties & South West, said: The ongoing development of outer-city business parks such as Winnersh Triangle creates a real sense that the economic recovery has turned a corner and ongoing investment in regeneration is a must to keep this momentum going.

We are extremely excited to be working with Patrizia on Building 1030 and bringing to life their vision for an exceptional office space that will complement the vibrancy that is continuing to grow at Winnersh Triangle.
