Cheers to Mr. Parker and Evans Metropolitan A.M.E. Zion Church for the outstanding Thanksgiving dinner they provided to the homeless on Nov. 19, since they were closed on Thanksgiving.

It was a lovely dinner, and they really enjoyed it.

I thank them and the community, too.

Cheers to everyone who helped my daughter, who was driving on I-95 Wednesday when she was involved in an accident. Everyone involved after the accident was wonderful.

I want to acknowledge personnel from Phillip's Towing service. They went out of their way and allowed my daughter and her two dogs to stay at their office until I could drive there from Augusta, Georgia (five hours). They treated her like family and were so caring and ensured her comfort.

I returned to Phillip's Towing two days later to retrieve her car, and once again, everyone was so helpful and sincere. We cannot be more grateful.

Thank you for going far beyond expectations.
