I am pretty impressed with the Shark sonic duo. Was considering throwing out an area rug after a couple of pet accidents, the shark sonic duo has my rug looking like new. So next were the shag rugs in my teenage boys rooms, great results again. Brightened up the builder grade carpet in my bonus, cleaned wool rugs in my office and dining room, again, brighter and cleaner, wow! Got old stains out of my stairs, made my engineered hardwood floors look new, did a pretty decent job on my tile kitchen floor. I am a neat freak, and I am very happy with how well it cleans. For the negative reviews, I have to wonder if they followed instructions. I followed exactly as directed for high traffic areas, etc. The only draw back is that you really do need more than one regular carpet cleaning pad and the included cleaners are starter size, so get ready to shuck out 40 for more cleaner, and money for additional pads. I read lots of reviews before purchasing, and I am writing this to encourage anyone to try it. Available at lots of retailers, but I chose Target because they are so great about returning if you are not happy. Plan on getting tons of use out of the Shark sonic duo.see less
