ATHOL, Idaho -- This summers storms not only left homeowners cleaning up fallen trees but also removing trees that maybe dangerous. Local tree removal companies said they have been swamped with calls.

A homeowner in North Idaho is removing a tree in his front yard as a precaution to the storms moving in Tuesday.

Josh Hovde will not forget the last time a massive storm made its way through his neighborhood just south of Silverwood. His neighbors said the dead pine tree in his front yard looked like it was about to fall.

They saw this one swaying. This one was the one that was moving. Its ready to go, said Hovde.

After checking the forecast for the week, he frantically started looking for someone to take the tree down.

Right off the bat, the first individual I tried to call, they were booked out a month in advance, said Hovde.

He was able to get in touch with a Coeur dAlene company that plans on removing the tree on Tuesday.
