JEFFERSONTOWN, Ky. --Mattoon is in the final four of the Cal Ripken Ohio Valley Regional baseball tournament for 9-year-olds.

Blaine Powers had two dounles and a single and pitched the last three innings allowing only three unearned runs as Mattoon edged South Lexington, Ky., 7-6 in Saturday night's quarterfinals.

That has Mattoon facing Janesville, Wis., in a 10 a.m. Sunday Central time semifinal with the championship game in the afternoon.

Charleston lost a 14-10 game to North Harrison, Ind., in the single-elimination tournament.

Earlier Saturday, Mattoon scored three runs in bottom of seventh inning to edge Russiaville, Ind., 8-7.

Blaine Powers had three hits and three RBIs and scored the winning run on a wild pitch. Luke Perry, starting pitcher Colton Comstock and Kaiden Seivers added two hits.

Logan Macdonald got the win pitching 1 1/3 innings of relief.
