PARMA HEIGHTS, Ohio -- Pearl Road is lined with summer-dining options, but here are a few places that offer outdoor seating, bars and summer specials.

Brew House: This bar and grill is a new addition to Parma Heights. Itopened a few months ago after the city granted owner Mas Ahmed his liquor license and renovations on the building were complete.

Brew Houseis open from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m. on weekdays and on weekends is open at 11 a.m.

"We get so packed on the weekends," Ahmed said, adding that Thursdays at Brew House will be ladies night starting on Aug. 7. "I want this to be more than just another sports bar. Guys can watch sports here while eating calamari or drinking a variety of beers."

Brew House has a patio with a tiki bar that can seat 36. However, he said the patio usually fills up with more than 70 people when the weather is nice.

He said the most popular drink is the strawberry and chocolate martini, but he won't say what's in it because it a Brew House specialty. The $8-drink tastes like a chocolate covered strawberry.

"I'll be honest with you, this drink has been popular with both ladies and men," Ahmed said.

Flyers: Another restaurant and bar native to Parma Heights is Flyers on Pearl Road.

Owner Cheryl Staursky, of Middleburg Heights, said Flyers is a "mom and pop place," and has been in Parma Heights for 18 years. She owns and runs the bar and grill with her husband, three sons and parents.

Flyers' happy hour runs from its 11 a.m. opening to 7 p.m. The restaurant has different specials every day, such as 40 cent wings on Mondays and mussels, tacos and burritos on Wednesdays for $1.50 per dozen.
